Always Be in Control of Your Words

Have you tried singing along with a song playing from your phone and then suddenly, a buzz comes in and the music stops but you still kept singing.

How did you sound? Not as melodious as you sounded when the rhythm was on, I guess. This is how many people know they have a horrible voice. It makes you revise the pride you had in your singing.

The average person talking with a crowd uses far less I.Q. than they normally would. But every individual member of the group touts speaking with personal and utmost intelligence, as though it were true.

When the crowd stops speaking, we later would revise and modify either what we say or how we say it. We realize we could have said it a different way or never said it at all.

Be careful of speaking with a crowd. The noises are stirring and loud and it is tempting to assume we are communicating effectively until the crowd ceases, the voices stop and we are face to face with what we have said in a garment now speckled with less pride and less honor.

Some years ago, I began to have some thoughts about life. Everyday, we come across people who put up false happiness. Everyone's trying to be truly happy, and everyone surely deserves that, because there's no life without happiness. But a lot of persons are much unhappy inside than they seem to be. Jeff Keller's Attitude is Everything, is another great book to read. Before I read this book, I thought it's going to be all about attitude (a person's behaviour, character as I understood it). It is all about attitude anyway, but a broader scope of it, one that I hadn't imagined and understood till I read the book. There's so much to learn, know, gain, from reading books. People who don't read books, or who hate reading are kinda dead in knowledge and such death most times reflects in their attitudes, which is a product of the vacuum in their mindsets. She is the founder of the boutique architecture and interior design firm AD Consultin, based in Lagos, Nigeria. CNN described her as "Africa's Starchitect" and The Guardian (Nigeria) has described her as "the face of Architecture in Nigeria. Adenowo has several philanthropic ventures. You may come across a good person, a sincere lover, who's interested in you, but you're not ready at that moment, and end up losing him to someone else who's ready.. You're not ready because of the negative configuration that your past relationship(s) has created for your mind and it really shows in your attitude (I personally always detect it no matter how much you try to hide it). You have to take responsibility for the outcomes of your past relationships. And by this, you take POSITIVE actions not to be a victim of such again. I am skinny and I don't like cold. My lips quiver, my speech seizes, my nose shoots out mucus with every sneeze and I think my metabolism stops too, except my kidneys. It starts to produce urine like a liquor factory. The toilet must be within few paces away. Where there's no toilet, I can't handle myself when you put me in a cool room. My feet grow numb, I may have to postpone my presence at a meeting or a discussion to use the bath or the bush. I can cope with no fan or air conditioner all year long. Just give me a damn sweater and a wooly duvet, I'll be good for all seasons! But there is another type of cold I've grown used to. There are all sorts of measures of trust. Sometimes, they help you to uncover who your real friends and future business partners are. There are people you can't leave in a room alone with your phone, or sit across the table from with an open letter. Their eyes will stray. They are snitches and busybodies who lack discretion. Then there are those you better not leave your bag with. Something will go missing. There are a few you can trust with your credit card details and the password to your email account. The possibility of them betraying your trust is not even on your radar. They won't. When the transaction is done, they promptly forget your passwords and never bother to write them down. They understand the access was for a specific purpose. Then, there are the rare folks you give full and ongoing access. Even when they don't ask for information, you volunteer it.
