Positive Life & Relationship is just over 7 months old, but its influence on lives has been positive and its future influence on lives will be Great!

I just want to appreciate those whose contribution(s) has been part of this library. A good number of them may not be aware that they are a part of this library, but today, Positive Life & Relationship appreciates you all.

Success Story: How I went from a CGPA of 2.29 to 4.00 within a Semester

This is a Success Story shared by Olusola O'sola Fapohunda, a graduate of the Federal University of Technology, Akure. ----- In early 2010, I went with about four other guys in my department - to visit our level registration officer. We wanted to check our result. Each one of us, was with a paper and a pen. The lecturer in charge asked for our matriculation numbers and one after the other, he was reeling off grades, GPA and CGPA. He eventually got to me and I heard a digit that sounded like I've been shot. God! Me! 2.29. I've earned myself Grade E in some three unit courses and my best course was APH301, which I had a B with a score of 69. About six months later, I went to check my 300 level second semester result and I now had a CGPA of 4.00. That was the happiest day of my University education. I was rolling on the floor of the room. They tell you hate is a strong emotion, perhaps fiercer than love. But they leave out the crucial details. Like, how it is also the deadliest disease in existence, eating away at your innards until what's left is an empty, deformed shell. And how, unlike its polar opposite whose object of affection gets to enjoy (or endure) the fruits of whatever intense passion it projects, the cross is all yours to bear. I hated once. I read this book about four years ago, and it was a big turning point for me. Much was learnt, I'll share few of them today. You should check it out. The lessons: Death begins when one stops learning, and ageing starts from one's mind, not one's body. One remains young as far as he or she keeps learning; One starts crashing once he or she stops pushing. One's ability to excel mentally is paralyzed once one stops trying and accepts that the results obtained is the best he or she can attain; One's life becomes a burden when one's life is void of progress. And when one's brain isn't working towards anything, it becomes a weight on the body. The brain is motivated when it sees something ahead, something to work towards for; One's success does not demand prayer and fasting, as much as engaging one's senses positively.
