Never, never give up!

When things go wrong as they sometimes will; when the road you are trudging seems like an uphill task; when the funds are low and the debts are high, and You want to smile, but have to sigh; when cares are pressing you down a bit, rest if you must, but never give up!

Success is failure turned inside out. The silver tint of the clouds of doubt, and You never can tell how close you are. It may be near when it seems far!
So stick to the fight when you are hardest hit! Problems are only opportunities in work clothes! Impossibilities vanish when a man, his God confront a mountain! The best way out of a difficult is through it. Until you go through, you can't break through! So hold on!

Defeat never comes to any man until he admits it! Never forget that great men who have lighted the world to higher levels were not developed in easy circumstances, but were rocked in the cradle of difficulties and pillowed in hardship.

So as the year ends with certain unfulfilled desires, hold on firmly to your God because with God all things are possible. A miracle will still happen! Never, never give up! Hold on and hold out! Yes! A miracle will still happen.

I was with my parents over the weekend. It was a great time with them. Our conversations especially when I am about leaving them after a visit will end with a prayer. But this time a good part of the conversation centered on marriage and so was about 86% of the prayer on getting married from the right family and settling down well....hmmm. You see, we all have this almighty question to answer now and then. In fact, life in Nigeria is ideally viewed in a particular cycle – Birth - Go to School - Graduate from University - National Youth Service - Work or Business - Marriage and Children, and then Work, Work, Business, Business - Raise Children - Work, Work, Business, Business - Death. I hope you can relate with that cycle. When you are done, your children obviously will continue with the next cycle starting from where you started. Some years ago, I began to have some thoughts about life. Everyday, we come across people who put up false happiness. Everyone's trying to be truly happy, and everyone surely deserves that, because there's no life without happiness. But a lot of persons are much unhappy inside than they seem to be. Sometimes the pain they feel deep inside gets to a threshold, where they can't keep on putting up false happiness, and their true feelings are more often expressed. For a good number of persons, they redefine happiness, and their definition of happiness does not bring them true happiness, though it feels so at the beginning, but at the end, it only adds to the pain they already feel. Each time I hear things like the young people should be given a chance to lead, I laugh. I know we still have very good and competent young people that can be agents of transformation but they are in the tiniest minority. So many are quick to use the arguments of our past leaders attaining positions of leadership at very young ages, true but you must realise that they got there not because of their competency but because they were lucky to be among a few that were a bit enlightened in the wake of transition from the colonial era. There was an immediate need to transfer responsibility of leadership to any indigenous person that had some level of education but not because of their ingenuity. I was on one of my favorite spots reading with my phone, when two young ladies, one in bum shorts (I hate when ladies wear this outside) just showcasing themselves in front of me. I lifted my head and looked, then smiled and shook my head as if I didn't see anything. I continued my reading. After plenty effort to gain my attention, by one of them, they advised themselves. One said to the other, why you just dey show yourself, which boy weh go call you for here? I smiled again, then two ladies beside me joined in the discussion. You probably may have tried different exploits to get something to work or done but it seem to be infeasible. It gets worse when it drains you away and there is no strength left to give it just one more push. This is the break point – that moment when all you need is just a slight push but your strength is failing you. If your body is weak, your mind cannot afford to be weak. Your mind controls your body. If your will to Succeed in anything is low, there is a chance that you cannot win, for the desire to win and see the end of that, has to be and must be greater than the fear which comes when you doubt yourself or what you can do.
