• Which letter is silent in the word "Scent," the S or the C?

• The letter W, in English, is called double U. Shouldn't it be called double V?

• Every time you clean something, you just make something else dirty.

• 100 years ago many average person owned a horse and only the rich had cars. Today many average person has cars and only the rich own horses.

• If you replace "W" with "T" in "What, Where and When", you get the answer to each of them.

• If 2/2/22 falls on a Tuesday, we'll just call it "2's Day.

A lot of us have become used to using salt to kill earthworms when we encounter any in our houses. I've thought about this for a while now, but I recently decided to check it up and I'll share what I learnt about the science. Before that, I'll share some points about earthworms: - They are in the lumbricus genus, there are various species of earthworms, but the common earthworm's scientific name is lumbricus terrestris - Their digestive system runs through the length of their skin - Earthworms respire through their skin - They are hermaphrodites (each one carries both male and female sex organs) - They lack either an internal skeleton or exoskeleton , but maintain their structure with fluid-filled coelom chambers that function as a hydrostatic skeleton. Reframe the meaning of your past experiences to be able to excel in the present

You can either carry the pains of your past as excess baggage or convert it into a fuel of love to propel you into your greatness. The choice is yours, because the past is gone and cannot be undone. However, the meanings we ascribe to the tragedies of our past is hardwired into our subconscious and dictates most of our thought processes and decision-making in the present. The way we interpret those events can be rewired to give positive meanings to our pain. We must see those ugly experiences as part of a grand design that is intended to bring out the beauty in us. We must see our past as a strengthening process, a necessary refinement procedure that was aimed at leading us to our authentic self. Yesterday night (the night before the day this was written), I was having a nap, at the NIFES UNIPORT President's office, when Brother Daniel came to me and said: “Sir, we have a new person, he is stranded. And he needs a place to lodge for the night”. I was tired. I told him; “See to it that he finds rest”. Then he replied me: “he is a Muslim”. I said to him again; “that is not a problem. Just ask him basic information and tell him the etiquette of the secretariat. Also do a security check”. This is the normal pocedure for any one who comes around, because many have come in such way and at midnight they stole something. Then, I zoomed, off to sleep. This morning (on the day this was written), at 4.25 AM, when we do have our normal devotion, we had a full house. There were several persons who have not been allocated a hostel space, some also who are coming to UNIPORT for the first time and needed to find a place to rest. And some who are not bothered...

I love to talk about men. And the reason is very simple: • All men are unique. • They are our pride. • They are the beauty that we have as women. Most times, I tell my friends that when you treat your man like a King, he will worship you like a Queen. Never disrespect your man, he is the reason why people are calling you Madame. Stop looking down on him because you think he is already your husband, and so nothing can happen. Passing by a church over the weekend, my thoughts revolved about a noticeable trend that have stayed in Nigeria, I believe for about a decade or so. You must have observed same. Churches in recent years now use Religious broadcasting (which is broadcasting by religious organizations, usually with a religious message) to conduct LIVE services. So, a head quarter church in any part of the country can easily broadcast to any of their satellite churches, and you see people in this satellite churches agreeing and seeing visible results. Several years ago, people will never try that. They will wonder why you should be looking at somebody in a box, and be dancing, singing and even believe same for miracles. What foolishness? Our present society is a mixture of different persons of different family values. That's one of the major reasons why people have different understanding of an issue or situation. One from a family with high personal and moral values may not agree with the other who has his or her own values, and who feels they are justified and right. You see situations where people can't relate because of their parallel opinions and beliefs which are antagonist to each other. You see situations where people "mind their business" because they feel that the actions and activities of other persons, has no significant effect on them. One thing I've learnt about life is that everyone, has an effect, positive or negative, on the entire system. It's like a chain reaction. Many people expect life to be easy. Even as a Christian, there is no crown without a cross. Many people wish they can just wish suffering away, deny it exists or drink it away. Suffering is how the spirit of man grows, how it learns to discipline itself from the incessant demands of the wayward flesh. Suffering people are growing people. But does that mean we should desire suffering? No, we should not desire suffering but neither should we resist it. Because what we resist persists. We should not try to hide from suffering. Like a bully, we stand up to it, pull it in the beard and find out that it was just an attachment meant to scare us. Suffering is not bad in itself and will only cease when you have learned your lesson from it. Adversity is the road map to prosperity just as failure is the step stones to Success. Our generation has been termed to be the most open minded in the history of human race. That's partly true, as our generation is extremely diverse, and with that diversity many ways of thinking appear. We find that the ideas older generation consider private are openly discussed by our generation and likes of such attitude and approach towards life. This new behaviour and idea of diversity has exposed a lot of us to accepting new ideas – which is not a bad thing in itself. However, it becomes a problem when we start allowing the ideologies, beliefs, and expectations of others define how we live our life. The lack of a strong personal conviction or ideology has left many to seek validation or acceptance from external parties, letting the acts and words of others guide how they live their lives.
