You are still standing

He thought he had died. He battled with life beneath the waters. He gasped for breath. The more he tried reaching out for air, the more he lost the strength to fight and slowly he wallowed in the depth of the waters.

Just like every other person who is gasping for life and broken with life challenges, People who had fought long enough to make ends meet, men who are battered and have become destitute like the men who came to David.

It was evident that men on land also fight to live. He wished he was fighting for life on land. He felt it was better than being engulfed by the waters.

He only came with a friend on a small boat to rock the waters and enjoy the fresh air. He had forgotten about His friend after the boat capsized, everyone now fighting for His life.

His thoughts are now rhythmical as He was almost leaving His body.

Alas, He found himself surrounded by People, "He was still standing". They motioned on Him to relax that everything is under control.
He was pulled out of the depth of the waters, He has been delivered at the point when He almost gave up. He has been given a new life.

You are still standing because you are here today. Make the most use of it.

Passing by a church over the weekend, my thoughts revolved about a noticeable trend that have stayed in Nigeria, I believe for about a decade or so. You must have observed same. Churches in recent years now use Religious broadcasting (which is broadcasting by religious organizations, usually with a religious message) to conduct LIVE services. So, a head quarter church in any part of the country can easily broadcast to any of their satellite churches, and you see people in this satellite churches agreeing and seeing visible results. Several years ago, people will never try that. They will wonder why you should be looking at somebody in a box, and be dancing, singing and even believe same for miracles. What foolishness? You just want to fast forward to your ultimate destination and end the journey. You're tired of the stress, you're tired of working hard and making those efforts. But deep inside You, you get fulfilment from what you do, you feel great and positive about yourself whenever you do those things. Your dream lies in them. You're only just tired. It's normal. You may rest a little, but you don't give up! You don't give in to distraction and that desire to just get there immediately. A few years ago, I was in a relationship with someone. My clearest memory of it; the recollection that is etched in brain matter was our first kiss.
