We have to APPLY the Acquired Knowledge

Knowledge is obviously not the problem of our generation.
Knowledge has greatly increased in our days, and keeps increasing by the day.
I listen to people and I am amazed at how much they know.
Knowledge about the things of God, especially, knows no bound.

What then is our challenge?
Application is.

We are so busy acquiring, accumulating and dispensing knowledge that we do not have time left for application.

Oh, my generation knows so much. But how much of what we know do we put to personal use? How much have we allowed all that we know to affect who we are and who we become?

I am especially amazed when I see the way we dissect the Scriptures, and relate it to history, and give the original meanings of the words therein in their Greek translations and others. We talk about how the three Hebrews defied the king's orders and stood by their convictions to the point of being thrown into the fiery furnace. We talk about their faith and how God showed up on their behalf. We talk about Daniel, too. How he also defied the king's orders because it contradicted his personal values, and as a result got thrown into the lions' den. We talk about how God showed up for him, and on his behalf.

But when we find ourselves in circumstances such as theirs, we suddenly remember how "wisdom" is profitable to direct. No wonder despite the volume of our knowledge of, and in these things, little exploits are recorded in our days.
I wish we all, for once, withdrew from acquiring more. And just go get busy with applying some of that which we already have.

After all, no one is ever remembered after they are dead, for how much they knew. People are only remembered for what they did with what they knew and who they were or became as a result of what they knew.
The Bible says, "My people perish for lack of knowledge".

But what happens to knowledge not applied; knowledge merely displayed and won like a badge of honour? It is good as ignorance.

The truth you know, and which sets you free, is the truth you apply and put to correct use.

Knowledge is never meant or designed to be an end in itself, it is meant and designed to be a means to an end.

Today, we remember Jesus for who He was and what He did during His brief thirty-three years on earth.
Same with all those heroes of faith.

What would the world remember you for, despite all that you currently know?
How much of what you already know are you applying?

The message is this:
Beyond acquirement, and dispensation of knowledge, there is need for application.
Sit down and begin to apply...
