You Do it because You are a Responsible Son

Many of us are frustrated simply because we run our Christian race with an "entitlement mentality."

Things happen, and we begin to ask "Why me?" and tell of how we don't deserve such.
Our faith is not in God perse, but in how "much" we have done "for Him" or "sown" into "His work" and how "good" we are.

Such thinking or mentality gets us nowhere with God, and gets us nothing from Him.

Ask the the elder brother of the prodigal son...

"Lo, these many years do I serve thee, neither transgressed I at any time thy commandment: and yet thou never gavest me a kid that I might make merry with my friends: But as soon as this thy son was come, which art devoured thy living with harlots, thou hast killed for him the fatted calf.
And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine." – Luke 15: 29-31.

Stop trying, struggling, working, striving, and labouring to make yourself deserving of your inheritance in Christ. It is yours simply because you are a son; not because you merited it. It is all by grace.

Remember, "all that I have is yours..."

So, when you work, it is not in order to gain something. It is because you are a responsible son... who must see to his Father's business.

Some do for the attention they can get; perhaps, their supposed pair is someone with class or high social background. Some do too for recognition. Some do for some bucks. I normally take a walk in the evenings. The practice of solitude on the street... the idea of being quiet on a road full of noisy commuters seems heavenly to me. It makes me feel different and that's exactly the kind of environment I can unwind. This evening, it was church-time for some folks. Because I wasn't walking alone, I had to be chatty with my colleague. We spoke from petty politics to travelling abroad and just as we got in front of this church, I asked him why people went to church. He retorted: "Fear!" Hi Reader! Hope you're doing good? I was checking up on happiness and how it relates to the body and brain, chemically. I found some interesting stuffs that I'll love to share. There are four chemical substances that are related to happiness in the body: Dopamine, Oxytocin, Serotonin and Endorphins (DOSE). There could be more than four but these four are major. My interest today is on Dopamine. Dopamine is a neurotransmitter which influences "reward-motivated behavior " in relation to happiness. A lot of us have become used to using salt to kill earthworms when we encounter any in our houses. I've thought about this for a while now, but I recently decided to check it up and I'll share what I learnt about the science. It is another interesting movie to talk about. It's a dance movie starring Ryan Guzman (Sean Asa), Misha Gabriel (Eddy, co-leader of the Mob with Sean), Kathryn McCormick (Emily Anderson), Peter Gallagher (William Bill Anderson), among others. I think you guys will love the movie. As usual, I'll share the lessons I learnt from the movie. • It's really cool seeing the team Sean and Eddy put together. They brought different talented dancers together so they could express their voices as a team and make a bigger difference collectively. It's also great having a team of people who share same goals and who are committed. They didn't just gave themselves a voice, they also gave a lot of persons a voice and at the end, their voices were heard. In my routine muse, out of the loud silence of my mind came deep words which I consider both factual and true... Nothing happens on it's own, we live in a realm of cause and effect; sowing and reaping; give and take; garbage in, garbage out... Life can, to a good extent be predictable; nothing is new, just some kind of cycle... Principles guide life, break them and dance to whichever tune life plays for you. Grace, yes Grace, does not groom lazy men who sit with bowls waiting for manna rain. Grace empowers you to labour, opens new thought lines in your head, makes you smart, diligent and the boss in your game.
