People who think you'll not amount to anything in life aren't the problem. The problem begins the moment you allow their opinion into your head.

People who think you are proud, disobedient, arrogant or useless aren't the problem. The problem starts when you start bothering yourself about their misconceptions.

You'll begin to live the moment you allow people to be entitled to their opinions while you keep pursuing your dreams. Remember, no soothsayer, no matter how highly placed, can determine your future. It's in your hands!

Success Story: How I went from a CGPA of 2.29 to 4.00 within a Semester

This is a Success Story shared by Olusola O'sola Fapohunda, a graduate of the Federal University of Technology, Akure. ----- In early 2010, I went with about four other guys in my department - to visit our level registration officer. We wanted to check our result. Each one of us, was with a paper and a pen. The lecturer in charge asked for our matriculation numbers and one after the other, he was reeling off grades, GPA and CGPA. He eventually got to me and I heard a digit that sounded like I've been shot. God! Me! 2.29. I've earned myself Grade E in some three unit courses and my best course was APH301, which I had a B with a score of 69. Don't consider age when instilling discipline in your kids, rather consider their maturity. Some kids are smarter than normal for their age and should be corrected early enough if not you may be tempted to think they are still children not knowing they are learning fast and developing character. Try and discern difference among your kids. If a method worked for one doesn't mean it must work for the other. Identify the ones that need more attention and give such more attention so that they can catch up with the others and gain independence. I dislike it when I see Godly parents having ungodly kids. Your children are a reflection of your level of spiritual responsibility. Teach them how to comport themselves in church, don't always have that attitude that they are kids, and leave them. No!
