When To Be Silent

Be silent when you are tempted to joke about sin. (Prov 14:9)

Be silent when you haven't verified the story. (Deuteronomy 17:6)

Be silent when it's time to listen. (Proverbs 13:1)

Be silent if you can't say it without screaming. (Proverbs 25:8)

Be silent if you will be ashamed of your words later. (Proverbs 8:8)

Be silent if the issue is none of your business. (Proverbs 14:10)

Be silent if your words will damage someone else reputation. (Prov 16:27)

Whoever guards his mouth and tongue keeps his soul from troubles. (Proverbs 21:23)

This is one of the best shortest books I've read so far. It's so short (about 41 pages) that one could finish it within a couple of hours. But every page of it; almost every paragraph of it has an inspiring bomb! It's a book one could go through every morning if possible, or maybe at the beginning of the week. It's cool! Think like a Champion was written by America's 45th and current president, Donald Trump. Donald is a successful businessman and television personality, and he shares so much successful tips that's helpful to everyone who wants success and wants to stay successful. Most of us are familiar with the parable of the prodigal son in the Bible. You know how he foolishly asked for all that was his and how he wasteful spent it all. The question I want to ask is this: Which person in the story best describes you? Perhaps your inner life has been so transformed by God’s forgiveness that you can empathise with others and easily forgive like the father in the story, or perhaps, like the younger son, you’ve demanded God’s gifts and then run your way toward destruction.
