The session was on Olajumoke Adenowo. ---------- (Diligent Amaka speaking) Olajumoke Olufunmilola Adenowo (born in 1968) is an award-winning Nigerian architect, entrepreneur, and philanthropist, as well as a speaker, radio host, and author. She is the founder of the boutique architecture and interior design firm AD Consultin, based in Lagos, Nigeria. CNN described her as "Africa's Starchitect" and The Guardian (Nigeria) has described her as "the face of Architecture in Nigeria. Adenowo has several philanthropic ventures. Success Story: How I went from a CGPA of 2.29 to 4.00 within a Semester

This is a Success Story shared by Olusola O'sola Fapohunda, a graduate of the Federal University of Technology, Akure. ----- In early 2010, I went with about four other guys in my department - to visit our level registration officer. We wanted to check our result. Each one of us, was with a paper and a pen. The lecturer in charge asked for our matriculation numbers and one after the other, he was reeling off grades, GPA and CGPA. He eventually got to me and I heard a digit that sounded like I've been shot. God! Me! 2.29. I've earned myself Grade E in some three unit courses and my best course was APH301, which I had a B with a score of 69. I was with my parents over the weekend. It was a great time with them. Our conversations especially when I am about leaving them after a visit will end with a prayer. But this time a good part of the conversation centered on marriage and so was about 86% of the prayer on getting married from the right family and settling down well....hmmm. You see, we all have this almighty question to answer now and then. In fact, life in Nigeria is ideally viewed in a particular cycle – Birth - Go to School - Graduate from University - National Youth Service - Work or Business - Marriage and Children, and then Work, Work, Business, Business - Raise Children - Work, Work, Business, Business - Death. As a business, you've got to maintain a steady pipeline of new customers for the following reasons: 1. In a competitive market, every new customer is market share stolen from your competitor. 2. A steady stream of new customers creates cash flow. 3. New customers provide a buffer from lost sales, when old customers leave. 4. A satisfied new customer leads to recurrent sales, which reduces your cost of marketing. 5. A constant stream of new customers guarantees your generational relevance and pushes you to innovate, as your business matures. I watched Benny Hinn lay hands on people and they'd be healed instantly. But at some private instances, I've had to pray for a cold to leave my chest and that stuffiness took a while. How come God's word seemed so slow, so lazy-footed in some cases when I needed it to be fast, quick? Didn't an Hebrew text say the word of the Lord is quick? Every time I thought of this text, I didn't feel it was my experience that God's word was lightening fast. Why does At feel like it takes time to materialize? Why do headaches or body pains sluggishly go away. I have to declare God's word a number of times – days, weeks, months, even years! God seems slower than the juju man who boasts of instant results.
