The session was on Olajumoke Adenowo. ---------- (Diligent Amaka speaking) Olajumoke Olufunmilola Adenowo (born in 1968) is an award-winning Nigerian architect, entrepreneur, and philanthropist, as well as a speaker, radio host, and author. She is the founder of the boutique architecture and interior design firm AD Consultin, based in Lagos, Nigeria. CNN described her as "Africa's Starchitect" and The Guardian (Nigeria) has described her as "the face of Architecture in Nigeria. Adenowo has several philanthropic ventures. In 1999, she founded the Awesome Treasures Foundation (ATF), a faith-based NGO in Lagos, Nigeria. Success Story: How I went from a CGPA of 2.29 to 4.00 within a Semester

This is a Success Story shared by Olusola O'sola Fapohunda, a graduate of the Federal University of Technology, Akure. ----- In early 2010, I went with about four other guys in my department - to visit our level registration officer. We wanted to check our result. Each one of us, was with a paper and a pen. The lecturer in charge asked for our matriculation numbers and one after the other, he was reeling off grades, GPA and CGPA. He eventually got to me and I heard a digit that sounded like I've been shot. God! Me! 2.29. I've earned myself Grade E in some three unit courses and my best course was APH301, which I had a B with a score of 69. This part focuses on diet and eye health. Good eye health requires the consumption of nutrients like omega-3 fatty acids, lutein, zeaxanthin, zinc, beta-carotene, vitamins A, C and E, etcetera. Deficiency of these nutrients contributes to poor eye health Food sources that are positive for eye health include; - Green leafy vegetables like spinach, kale and others - Fruits like citruses and berries (oranges, etcetera). I was with my parents over the weekend. It was a great time with them. Our conversations especially when I am about leaving them after a visit will end with a prayer. But this time a good part of the conversation centered on marriage and so was about 86% of the prayer on getting married from the right family and settling down well....hmmm. You see, we all have this almighty question to answer now and then. In fact, life in Nigeria is ideally viewed in a particular cycle – Birth - Go to School - Graduate from University - National Youth Service - Work or Business - Marriage and Children, and then Work, Work, Business, Business - Raise Children - Work, Work, Business, Business - Death. I hope you can relate with that cycle. When you are done, your children obviously will continue with the next cycle starting from where you started. I will love to write a little science about airplanes being able to fly. I'll only give a basic summary of a more detailed science. Photo Credit: freepik.com Four forces act on a flying airplane: the LIFT acting upward, the WEIGHT acting downwards, the THRUST acting forward, and the DRAG acting backwards. The LIFT is the force that makes the airplane move upward, and it is balanced by an opposite force, the WEIGHT which the plane exerts downwards and which is as a result of the plane's weight including the weight of people and loads on the plane. The THRUST is the force that makes the plane move forward, and it is balanced by a resistance force, the DRAG. Thus, for a plane to move forward, the THRUST must be greater than the DRAG; and for the same plane to move upwards, the LIFT must be greater than the WEIGHT.
