Mindset: One's greatest strength

Our most powerful element is the "mind". It's the distinct difference between being successful and failing to achieve. It's what limits you and keeps you distant from your dreams. One of our quotes for this week (by Alice Walker) was about the common way we give up our power, we under achieve and never get fulfilled. Theodore Roosevelt also said: "Believe you can and you're halfway there".

The mind is one's greatest strength. When the mind is weak, discouraged and negative, it mirrors into one's actions and activities and ultimately influences the end results. Positive mindset is an essential individual factor for personal success as well as collective success. We see and feel the effects of mindset around us. When we complain about the challenges we face in family, work place, school, organizations we belong to, even the challenges we have as a society or a nation; they're all related to different personal mindsets. When you see a successful individual, or a successful society or nation, it's a mirror of positive individual mindsets which united together. Less progressive societies are so because there are lesser positive individual mindsets or there may be a lot of positive individual mindsets, but they don't unite and collectively work for progress.

Develop a positive mindset (on a personal level), and have a flexible mind (on a collective level). By "flexible mind", I mean a mind that's open to listen, learn and weigh outcomes of actions. Sometimes, a lot of persons with personal positive mindsets are "rigid", and this makes achieving a collective goal to be difficult or impossible. As much as you have your personal positive views and beliefs, always listen and learn from that of others and decide which maximises the end result positively.

On personal positive mindset, always seek to learn and develop your mind daily. Always believe in yourself!

Some words from Roy T. Bennett:

"Believe in your infinite potential. Your only limitations are those you set upon yourself".

"If you don’t give up on something you truly believe in, you will find a way".

"Believe in your infinite potential. Your only limitations are those you set upon yourself.
Believe in yourself, your abilities and your own potential. Never let self-doubt hold you captive. You are worthy of all that you dream of and hope for".
