The Attitude Of A Champion

You are not a Champion because you wore a bespoke attire. Champions are not advertised on Facebook. You do not exaggerate it. A Champion is a Champ because of an attitude. A winning attitude.

Champions have great character. Champions are disciplined people. Champions are people with honour. Champions do not want to succeed by bringing others down. Champions are team players. Champions do not glory in themselves. Champions are not satisfied with where they are at the moment. Champions may be local but think globally, or they may be global but appropriate their ideas to fit their local environment. It is sad our society fails to honour the true Champions, but that is changing.

I celebrate my Champions today.

The session was on Olajumoke Adenowo. ---------- (Diligent Amaka speaking) Olajumoke Olufunmilola Adenowo (born in 1968) is an award-winning Nigerian architect, entrepreneur, and philanthropist, as well as a speaker, radio host, and author. She is the founder of the boutique architecture and interior design firm AD Consultin, based in Lagos, Nigeria. CNN described her as "Africa's Starchitect" and The Guardian (Nigeria) has described her as "the face of Architecture in Nigeria. Adenowo has several philanthropic ventures. In 1999, she founded the Awesome Treasures Foundation (ATF), a faith-based NGO in Lagos, Nigeria. Success Story: How I went from a CGPA of 2.29 to 4.00 within a Semester

This is a Success Story shared by Olusola O'sola Fapohunda, a graduate of the Federal University of Technology, Akure. ----- In early 2010, I went with about four other guys in my department - to visit our level registration officer. We wanted to check our result. Each one of us, was with a paper and a pen. The lecturer in charge asked for our matriculation numbers and one after the other, he was reeling off grades, GPA and CGPA. He eventually got to me and I heard a digit that sounded like I've been shot. God! Me! 2.29. I've earned myself Grade E in some three unit courses and my best course was APH301, which I had a B with a score of 69. As a business, you've got to maintain a steady pipeline of new customers for the following reasons: 1. In a competitive market, every new customer is market share stolen from your competitor. 2. A steady stream of new customers creates cash flow. 3. New customers provide a buffer from lost sales, when old customers leave. 4. A satisfied new customer leads to recurrent sales, which reduces your cost of marketing. 5. A constant stream of new customers guarantees your generational relevance and pushes you to innovate, as your business matures. I watched Benny Hinn lay hands on people and they'd be healed instantly. But at some private instances, I've had to pray for a cold to leave my chest and that stuffiness took a while. How come God's word seemed so slow, so lazy-footed in some cases when I needed it to be fast, quick? Didn't an Hebrew text say the word of the Lord is quick? Every time I thought of this text, I didn't feel it was my experience that God's word was lightening fast. Why does At feel like it takes time to materialize? Why do headaches or body pains sluggishly go away. I have to declare God's word a number of times – days, weeks, months, even years! God seems slower than the juju man who boasts of instant results. "Bring a fowl head and get rich quick." "Take this little black stone and you get a lover of your choice." Can't the Almighty God have a word this quick? A few days ago, I found myself in a work space where I had to negotiate for a deal with an organization. I was welcomed warmly. As I walked down to the appointed office, I was concerned by the facial expression of one of the employees as we moved in opposite directions. He muttered words in complaint with face bowed to the ground as He had received a portion of the managers venom for not meeting up with the required task. He pronounced a few challenges before him to another coworker as they moved to resume duty. He muttered the sleepless nights his family has faced because of their sick child and how this has drained his finances. The manager at his end was still expressing his displeasure until he got a sight of me.
