Hi Reader! Hope you're doing good? I was checking up on happiness and how it relates to the body and brain, chemically. I found some interesting stuffs that I'll love to share. There are four chemical substances that are related to happiness in the body: Dopamine, Oxytocin, Serotonin and Endorphins (DOSE). There could be more than four but these four are major. My interest today is on Dopamine. Dopamine is a neurotransmitter which influences "reward-motivated behavior " in relation to happiness. By reward-motivated behavior, it is responsible for the excitement one feels when there's a task to be done with a reward attached. This reward can be a goal to be attained or landmark to be set. It's just like something good is coming out from carrying out a task or action, or something new and exciting will be learnt or gained after undergoing an experience or completing a task. I hear people saying, and postulating that our Ladies have nothing to offer in relationships, and that apart from sex, eighty percent or thereabout of ladies have nothing else to contribute to relationships. How they arrived at such statistics, I know not. Who did the research, the number of ladies they sampled, and the research method employed, till date - the mystery remains unexplained. To me, this may be an issue of generalization and a case of a few bad eggs. Then again, I may be wrong oh, and it may be a case of a few good eggs and that of ''to every rumor there is an element of truth''. But nonetheless, let me attempt to point out a few things I think the authors of this "women have nothing to offer in a relationship" mantra are aggrieved about. When life rejects you as a waste of lemon, shake off the tag and GROW up into a lemonade! I grew up to my early teenage in Ilorin, Kwara state, Nigeria and countless times, I saw my mum poured cooking waste water containing tomato and vegetable seeds into a corner of our backyard through the kitchen window. Also, I grew up always seeing some tomato and vegetable plants growing at the corners of our unused backyard turned dumping site for kitchen waste and I always wondered who planted them and in fact, I also always thought they were unhealthy vegetables since they grow on a mere dirty, sometimes stinking waste-dumping site. A lot of us have become used to using salt to kill earthworms when we encounter any in our houses. I've thought about this for a while now, but I recently decided to check it up and I'll share what I learnt about the science. Free from what fought me mentally... I love this line by Kierra Sheard. Some of the battles we fight are not spiritual but mental. Even the devil knows that he has no access to your Spirit courtesy of salvation but still compensates himself in the mental realm. For one to operate fully at creations installed capacity, there is need for a marriage between the physical, spiritual and mental part of being. Knowing this, the devil is happy in causing a distortion in the flow and blending of these impulses. The greatest form of deliverance is not casting out a demon from a man, but loading him with knowledge. And you shall know the truth and it will make you free. I stand in my office and I decree freedom from every mental oppression, every force that prevents you from thinking at installed capacity, that prevents you from utilizing your mind to continue the process of creation, I command them to stop their activities in the name of Jesus Christ.
