Pay Attention to Details and show Patience

I run an investment club, where a few friends pool resources together to execute big deals. Entry is by referral. I always veto anyone who doesn't read emails or follow simple instructions. Like all those people who fail to see, "inbox me" in a status update and instead, ask sensitive questions on my timeline.

In an investment group, those people will jeopardise the value of our collective investments. They lack attention to detail and patience. They are in a rush to make quick profits and will need hand-holding.

The session was on Olajumoke Adenowo. ---------- (Diligent Amaka speaking) Olajumoke Olufunmilola Adenowo (born in 1968) is an award-winning Nigerian architect, entrepreneur, and philanthropist, as well as a speaker, radio host, and author. She is the founder of the boutique architecture and interior design firm AD Consultin, based in Lagos, Nigeria. CNN described her as "Africa's Starchitect" and The Guardian (Nigeria) has described her as "the face of Architecture in Nigeria. Adenowo has several philanthropic ventures. Success Story: How I went from a CGPA of 2.29 to 4.00 within a Semester

This is a Success Story shared by Olusola O'sola Fapohunda, a graduate of the Federal University of Technology, Akure. ----- In early 2010, I went with about four other guys in my department - to visit our level registration officer. We wanted to check our result. Each one of us, was with a paper and a pen. The lecturer in charge asked for our matriculation numbers and one after the other, he was reeling off grades, GPA and CGPA. He eventually got to me and I heard a digit that sounded like I've been shot. God! Me! 2.29. I've earned myself Grade E in some three unit courses and my best course was APH301, which I had a B with a score of 69. A lot of us have become used to using salt to kill earthworms when we encounter any in our houses. I've thought about this for a while now, but I recently decided to check it up and I'll share what I learnt about the science. As Christians, we are not in any battle with the devil. There is no battle again. Christ defeated the devil and made a public example of him. Why still fight an already won battle? The only thing we do is confirming and enforcing the defeat. In the military it is called a mop up operation. We are only soldiers assigned to our immediate environments to ensure criminals don't infiltrate the already conquered territory. We have the upper hand and full control. Behind every great idea, there will always be somebody who will be discouraging you by telling you that it won't work. They will tell you it won't be successful. They can even go to the extent of giving examples of people who have tried and failed. People will make attempt to make sure they discourage you from embarking on the journey to success but I want to tell you that nothing will be achieved by you if you are waiting for the time everybody will agree to support your dream.
