The face you give when you launch a new product and instead of people to buy they say "Congratulations, I am proud of you". Am I the only that has experienced this? When I first launched my first book, At the River Bank, I had a lot of people that told me Congratulations, the moral support was something else but that Moral support demoralized me and I gave into depression. Do you know why? Only one person purchased my book on the day I launched it. The person that even purchased the book was my friend, Promise Excel. Over 300 congratulations and only one person purchased the book. How does that sound? Have you been in this same situation? 1. You don't need much before you start adding value. Start where you are with what you know. All I did was help people craft one simple sentence but the impact will last a lifetime. You can also add value with the little you know. 2. Activity is not necessarily productivity. I did not have to leave my home to organize a class in a posh place and ask people to meet with me there. The internet changed all that. From the comfort of my home I added value to hundreds of people who in turn will add value to others because of what they've learnt. 3. I grew up to my early teenage in Ilorin, Kwara state, Nigeria and countless times, I saw my mum poured cooking waste water containing tomato and vegetable seeds into a corner of our backyard through the kitchen window. Also, I grew up always seeing some tomato and vegetable plants growing at the corners of our unused backyard turned dumping site for kitchen waste and I always wondered who planted them and in fact, I also always thought they were unhealthy vegetables since they grow on a mere dirty, sometimes stinking waste-dumping site.
