Four Captains, One Ship

After I got back from my lost journey, I was greeted by a small construction task. We all got together to get the work done without much stress. With six able bodied men, you would be forgiven to think we would get the work done in a world record shortest time. An hour into it without much progress, I knew there's fire on the mountain, or probably the village people were at work. Too much suggestions, opinions and ideas was the greatest undoing. Till I stepped up to make my stand regardless of the differences, in as much as getting the job done was our priority.

Then, the thought flew like an eagle.
Quite a number of us aren't taking the leadership position of our lives. We feel too young to make our voice heard. We leave our cockpit for others to control our ship. We let the noise get into our head and we never took charge of our life.

Ooh brethren, they can't direct your life successfully. The best they will ever do is to mould you to who they want you to be, not who you want to become. At the end of the day, they will be the first to ask you what your whole life was about. You are still there?

Passing by a church over the weekend, my thoughts revolved about a noticeable trend that have stayed in Nigeria, I believe for about a decade or so. You must have observed same. Churches in recent years now use Religious broadcasting (which is broadcasting by religious organizations, usually with a religious message) to conduct LIVE services. So, a head quarter church in any part of the country can easily broadcast to any of their satellite churches, and you see people in this satellite churches agreeing and seeing visible results. Several years ago, people will never try that. They will wonder why you should be looking at somebody in a box, and be dancing, singing and even believe same for miracles. What foolishness? Love has no logic, it is blind to logic

Love originates from the soul and can only be given, felt, received and appreciated by the soul. Love is our essence, love is wisdom, and love is a spiritual concept. If God is love and God is a spirit, then love must be a spirit and loving must thus be a spiritual activity at its core. We find it impossible to love because we live from the mind. The mind functions on logic and reason but love has no reason or logic to it, that's why true love is inexpiable and most times seems like foolishness to people of the world. The mind is continually seeking for a reason to love and it has criteria for qualifying and disqualifying people for love. True love is blind to such logic because you don't need a reason to love anybody; you love because it is natural to do so. If you received Salvation because of fear for hell, then that's not Real Salvation. Salvation is not based on fear, but on faith that comes from love for Christ's finished work on the cross. We're all guilty of it. Most times, the degree in which we manifest it only varies. An unsubmissive wife feels she's better than her unloving husband. God understands. An unloving husband feels he's better than his unsubmissive wife. God understands. The pulpit minister feels he's more into God and the ministry than the marketplace minister. The marketplace minister considers himself more honourable than the pulpit minister. She that wears trousers or uses jewelries feels she's a more enlightened Christian.
