Your Role model

When I was younger, the people I looked up to as "role models" are people I look back now and wonder what kind of air I was breathing in then.
Now, each time I change TV channels and Dan screams,
"That's bishop Mike Okonkwo! That's papa and mama! (Bishop T.V and Pastor Mrs Dolapo Adelakun) That's Pastor Sam Adeyemi! That's bishop David Oyedepo! Mummy, see Joyce Meyer! Pastor E.A Adeboye!
Pastor Paul Enenche! Pastor Becky Enenche! Ah, Myles Munroe!..."
I just feel so good.
Yes, we look to Jesus; yet, we can't but appreciate those who have been looking to Him before us, and are proofs that He is who He says He is.
I'm glad that when my son says, "I just love this man!", I don't have to begin to preach to him.

Who are your children's role models?
Who are those they see as "heroes"?
Now, I'm not saying they must have same as mine.
I'm only asking,
"Peradventure, they follow those people's path, would they end up where you would be proud of in life? Is that the kind of end or life you desire for your children?"
It begins with what you celebrate before them.

And yes, God first before others.
Yet, the kind of "others" are important.
That's something to ponder on, if you will.

I am skinny and I don't like cold. My lips quiver, my speech seizes, my nose shoots out mucus with every sneeze and I think my metabolism stops too, except my kidneys. It starts to produce urine like a liquor factory. The toilet must be within few paces away. Where there's no toilet, I can't handle myself when you put me in a cool room. My feet grow numb, I may have to postpone my presence at a meeting or a discussion to use the bath or the bush. I can cope with no fan or air conditioner all year long. Just give me a damn sweater and a wooly duvet, I'll be good for all seasons! But there is another type of cold I've grown used to. There has never been more pressure than it is now for young entrepreneurs to become millionaires. So because I post on Facebook daily, friends and family assume that I'm one multimillion dollar ultra successful entrepreneur (which I am anyways). The other day I was with my best friend and he asked me jokingly, "when will you marry?" My response was, "heck! At age 30 I should have travelled to at least 10 countries in the world and you're here talking of marriage", "who marriage epp?" We both laughed. What does this mean? Pressure! Create a new TV Channel

We all know how to use the remote control to change the channels on the TV. If we see something we don’t like, no big deal, we just change the channel. I know I do that a lot. I always say to myself that, “my eyes will see no evil”. We need to learn how to mentally change channels when negative images of the past pop up in our minds unexpectedly. You have to let go of the past and stop feeling sorry for yourself. You can’t do anything about what’s happened to you, but you can choose how you will face what’s in front of you. Create a new TV channel for your mind. Now program this channel with positive memories to replace the ones you are leaving behind. Be sure to delete "past failure" and trust God for a renewing of mind and a better future. Then you can change your channel to "New creation channel” (NC Channel) Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has gone, the new has come! I have two sons. One of them loves food so much that he eats food even in advance. The other keeps his food and eats it slowly so that it lasts longer. I respect both of their choices. I love both of them. This morning (on the day this was written) as I gave one of them bread and he ate, I found him keep coming for more. But the only one 'serving' I gave to the other was still with him; being managed, so that it wouldn't finish on time. Both are my sons. Both are dearly loved by me. Both have their choices respected. The worst thing you can ask from wealthy people or those in position of authority is money, because they wouldn't give you enough if they even give you at all. The other day I watched a wild dog dart in front of my vehicle. I wasn't moving too fast and so was able to avoid it. But I wondered what would have befallen the poor dog, if it had crossed the path of another driver moving at a faster pace.
