Have a Determined Spirit

God has destined you to live in victory, but you have to do your part.
Medical science tells us that people with a determined spirit usually get well quicker than people who are prone to being negative and discouraged. That's because God made us to be determined. We were not created to live in depression and defeat. A negative spirit dries up your energy. It weakens your immune system. When you get into a tight place and everything goes against you, even till it seems as though you would not hold on a minute longer, never give up then! For that is the place and time your situation will change.

Don't give up on your marriage. Don't give up on that wayward child. Grass is always greener at the other side. Changing your partner will not sort your problems, unless you are with the wrong partner in the first place. Always pray for your marriage
because the devil hates marriage and family. Don't give up on God, because God will not give up on you.

Even if people or circumstances attempt to keep you down, face the adversity in your life by standing courageously like the victorious over comer that God made you to be. Fight the good fight of faith. Get up and fight for what belongs to you!

Passing by a church over the weekend, my thoughts revolved about a noticeable trend that have stayed in Nigeria, I believe for about a decade or so. You must have observed same. Churches in recent years now use Religious broadcasting (which is broadcasting by religious organizations, usually with a religious message) to conduct LIVE services. So, a head quarter church in any part of the country can easily broadcast to any of their satellite churches, and you see people in this satellite churches agreeing and seeing visible results. If you received Salvation because of fear for hell, then that's not Real Salvation. Salvation is not based on fear, but on faith that comes from love for Christ's finished work on the cross. Step up, start loving Jesus Christ to experience the true essence of salvation. Love for Jesus exposes and reveals the real purpose of salvation. Many people expect life to be easy. Even as a Christian, there is no crown without a cross. Many people wish they can just wish suffering away, deny it exists or drink it away. Suffering is how the spirit of man grows, how it learns to discipline itself from the incessant demands of the wayward flesh. Suffering people are growing people. But does that mean we should desire suffering? No, we should not desire suffering but neither should we resist it. Because what we resist persists. We should not try to hide from suffering. Like a bully, we stand up to it, pull it in the beard and find out that it was just an attachment meant to scare us. We're all guilty of it. Most times, the degree in which we manifest it only varies. An unsubmissive wife feels she's better than her unloving husband. God understands. An unloving husband feels he's better than his unsubmissive wife. God understands. The pulpit minister feels he's more into God and the ministry than the marketplace minister. The marketplace minister considers himself more honourable than the pulpit minister. She that wears trousers or uses jewelries feels she's a more enlightened Christian.
