Spirit, Soul and Body

Man is Spirit, has a soul and lives in a body. The real man God created is the spirit, unseen and is the medium for communication with the divine. The spirit is the center of a man's faith and believe. The body is our physical being, while the soul is the center of our intelligence, emotions, values, etcetera. The spirit is very stable, and if a man is a believer, God dwells in his spirit. Only the spirit can interact with the spiritual world, but the flesh is in constant communication with the material world which transmits external impulses for the soul to interpret. The soul is sensual and emotional. If a man's spirit is fed, it controls and subdues the flesh and finally the soul, but if the flesh is fed, the soul will respond and interpret what the flesh bring as ideal. The center of our eternal battle is the soul, it is at the mercy of either the spirit or body. God and the devil, contend for the soul. Anyone that has the soul, has the whole man.

Your spirit can be saved but your body and soul must cooperate for you to make heaven. The spirit is not always the problem but bringing the body under subjection so that the soul will receive what the spirit brings instead of what the body brings. God communicates with you through your spirit but you are in the world and in constant communication with her through your body; this is a big battle for the soul. You must bring the body under control so it accepts what the Spirit brings. If you feed the body, it influences the soul and suppresses the spirit. Feed your Spirit, you do this by consciously selecting what you allow, listen to, and see, so that the Spirit can be in control of the soul. When the soul is controlled, the body must obey.
