Kids and Maturity:

Don't consider age when instilling discipline in your kids, rather consider their maturity. Some kids are smarter than normal for their age and should be corrected early enough if not you may be tempted to think they are still children not knowing they are learning fast and developing character.
Try and discern difference among your kids. If a method worked for one doesn't mean it must work for the other.
Identify the ones that need more attention and give such more attention so that they can catch up with the others and gain independence.
I dislike it when I see Godly parents having ungodly kids.
Your children are a reflection of your level of spiritual responsibility.
Teach them how to comport themselves in church, don't always have that attitude that they are kids, and leave them. No! Teach them early enough to reverence the presence of God.
My mum never believed any kid was smarter than me. That helped my self esteem and confidence which was evident in my academic performances.
Teach your kids how to save and tithe from the snack money you give them. Though some parents don't give money thinking it will spoil them but I think it is a way of building financial responsibility.
Allow them to earn money as rewards from tasks you give to them. Not all tasks though, so they won't do chores for money but a bit difficult task you deliberately give to them. This is to show them money is not plucked from trees.
Allow your Children learn responsibility. Let them do chores, it is not punishment. All those who love house maids.
Finally I don't like that name JUNIOR. Give your child an identity.
