Beloved, Christianity isn't a personal race as we are made to believe. It is rather a collective race with personal responsibilities. We are not the Cell of Christ but the Body of Christ. We must realize that whatever affects one part, affects the whole body. We must understand that all these talks such as "Leave everyone to their own beliefs. Let whatever you belief work for you. If I tithe, is it your business?" etcetera, are all revelations of a lack of synergy in the Faith. The Lord Jesus would have us grow up into him in all things. Today, I'll share few of what I learnt from this inspiring book by Norman Vincent Peale. It's an amazing and inspiring book, which I feel a lot of persons have read. But if you haven't, it's worth checking out. It's amazing to know that Peale's book is still inspiring lives long after written, and after he's gone (Peale died in 1993 at the age of 95 years). • Nothing is inherently powerful. But WE are powerful, and we can give strength and power to whatever we choose to give such to. One's mind gives strength and power to circumstances, things, situations. And the more one's mind focus on something, it gives greater strength and power to such thing. Humans are basically good at something – PLANNING. Even if most persons wouldn't agree with this. Like the popular saying, "He that fails to plan have planned to fail", so in some way we plan. Whether it's all straight or not. Considering our fast-paced, dynamic and forward thinking society, everybody wants to succeed (although few persons are still not planning to), and at such we make plans on how to beat the game. I was nothing special. I get that. I come from humble beginnings. Zero silver spoon in my mouth. In school, I didn’t fit in. Wasn’t given much of a chance. A teacher told me I’d never make a head-on in writing. I didn’t believe him (Trust your instincts versus your critics). I kept on moving ahead. I understood the power of ferocious learning – reading books constantly, studying the best consistently and putting in the effort relentlessly. I made seemingly insignificant small acts that to me revealed a beautiful progress. Quietly proving my naysayers knew nothing. Anyone can put someone down. Heroes lift others up.
