It's better being neutral in certain situations

I came across this on my Facebook wall and felt it's worth sharing. It just reminded me of a number of incidents, both personal and non personal where one sides with his or her friend, with or without checking up who's right and wrong. It's better to be neutral most times and decide how to handle stuffs like this. Don't form loyalty when you know you're on the wrong side of the issue. Rather, try to get your friend to understand, and when he or she doesn't, stand your ground! You're a unique person and not the shadow of someone else's personality!

Everyone's trying to be truly happy, and everyone surely deserves that, because there's no life without happiness. But a lot of persons are much unhappy inside than they seem to be. A lot of us have become used to using salt to kill earthworms when we encounter any in our houses. I've thought about this for a while now, but I recently decided to check it up and I'll share what I learnt about the science. Knowledge is obviously not the problem of our generation. Knowledge has greatly increased in our days, and keeps increasing by the day. I listen to people and I am amazed at how much they know. Knowledge about the things of God, especially, knows no bound. What then is our challenge? Application is. We are so busy acquiring, accumulating and dispensing knowledge that we do not have time left for application. Oh, my generation knows so much. But how much of what we know do we put to personal use? How much have we allowed all that we know to affect who we are and who we become? I am especially amazed when I see the way we dissect the Scriptures, and relate it to history, and give the original meanings of the words therein in their Greek translations and others. Each time I hear things like the young people should be given a chance to lead, I laugh. I know we still have very good and competent young people that can be agents of transformation but they are in the tiniest minority. So many are quick to use the arguments of our past leaders attaining positions of leadership at very young ages, true but you must realise that they got there not because of their competency but because they were lucky to be among a few that were a bit enlightened in the wake of transition from the colonial era. There was an immediate need to transfer responsibility of leadership to any indigenous person that had some level of education but not because of their ingenuity. From my judgement, they were average and had not passed the mediocrity mark of which I will say they are the reason for our current predicaments.
