A lot of us have become used to using salt to kill earthworms when we encounter any in our houses. I've thought about this for a while now, but I recently decided to check it up and I'll share what I learnt about the science. Today, I'll share few of what I learnt from this inspiring book by Norman Vincent Peale. It's an amazing and inspiring book, which I feel a lot of persons have read. But if you haven't, it's worth checking out. It's amazing to know that Peale's book is still inspiring lives long after written, and after he's gone (Peale died in 1993 at the age of 95 years). • Nothing is inherently powerful. But WE are powerful, and we can give strength and power to whatever we choose to give such to. One's mind gives strength and power to circumstances, things, situations. Success Story: How I went from a CGPA of 2.29 to 4.00 within a Semester

This is a Success Story shared by Olusola O'sola Fapohunda, a graduate of the Federal University of Technology, Akure. ----- In early 2010, I went with about four other guys in my department - to visit our level registration officer. We wanted to check our result. Each one of us, was with a paper and a pen. The lecturer in charge asked for our matriculation numbers and one after the other, he was reeling off grades, GPA and CGPA. He eventually got to me and I heard a digit that sounded like I've been shot. God! Me! 2.29. I've earned myself Grade E in some three unit courses and my best course was APH301, which I had a B with a score of 69. I read this book about four years ago, and it was a big turning point for me. Much was learnt, I'll share few of them today. You should check it out. The lessons: Death begins when one stops learning, and ageing starts from one's mind, not one's body. One remains young as far as he or she keeps learning; One starts crashing once he or she stops pushing. One's ability to excel mentally is paralyzed once one stops trying and accepts that the results obtained is the best he or she can attain; One's life becomes a burden when one's life is void of progress. And when one's brain isn't working towards anything, it becomes a weight on the body. The brain is motivated when it sees something ahead, something to work towards for; One's success does not demand prayer and fasting, as much as engaging one's senses positively. The Weekly WhatsApp Status-Quotes Challenge – The LPI

Hello Friends, The Love and Positivity Initiative (LPI) has been Great! Some days ago (Tuesday, the 16th of January, to be precise), I got an idea which I shared with the members of the LPI WhatsApp Group. I was inspired to write four Positivity Quotes which I'll share here. The idea is about uploading Five Positivity Quotes as part of one's WhatsApp status, one each on each of the five working days of the week. This will be repeated every week, probably for a couple of months. The Personal benefit of this, is that one's subconcious mind will take in those positive words every morning, and those words will have positive control over one's mindset, then words, actions, character and attitude. I and a friend discussed about this today, and he disagreed wholly, until I showed him the Word. I once used to pray like this whenever we were to go into an 'anointing service.' “We invite the Holy Spirit into this place.” “The Holy Spirit really showed up this morning!” If you have been a Christian for any amount of time, you have no doubt heard these expressions. In fact, you have probably said at least one of them yourself. I know I have! Many believers today often open up church services or worship meetings with prayers like “come, Holy Spirit!” Yet I suspect these prayers may not need to be prayed. This is what I taught my employees today (on the day this was written). As it's my usual practice (because I don't want them to be employees forever), I taught my employees something very important as regard wealth creation today. I told them about a man who laughed at me because I'm using small phones. I told one of them – look at the phone I'm using, (talking about my personal phone). Since you've been here with me, did you ever see me with any expensive clothes or shoes? The reason is because I am an entrepreneur (at the wealth creation stage). When you see someone who is spending lavishly, I taught them; be sure he doesn't make money. People who steal or inherit money blow it anyhow.The next to them are people who work for money (the employees). This is unfortunate (but very true).
