We are Witnesses

The only thing Jesus called us unto was to be witnesses. Witnesses to the finished work on the cross.
Witnessing is better appreciated when it is experiential.
You are a sufferer now because God is forming a deliverer out of you.
You were a victim yet you didn't die because you needed to testify as a Victor.
You are a survivor because people will need your testimonies to survive.
Each time you face tough times just know you are chosen to be a witness to victory. To be a testimony to survival.
See yourself as a medium of encouragement to the broken and downtrodden. It was already perfected on the cross, you are just a witness.

The session was on Olajumoke Adenowo. ---------- (Diligent Amaka speaking) Olajumoke Olufunmilola Adenowo (born in 1968) is an award-winning Nigerian architect, entrepreneur, and philanthropist, as well as a speaker, radio host, and author. She is the founder of the boutique architecture and interior design firm AD Consultin, based in Lagos, Nigeria. CNN described her as "Africa's Starchitect" and The Guardian (Nigeria) has described her as "the face of Architecture in Nigeria. Adenowo has several philanthropic ventures. This is a great inspiring book. I'm sure it must be a familiar one, especially since it's written by the well known neurosurgeon and politician (He's the current United States Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, under the Trump Administration), Benjamin Solomon Carson Sr. I read this book about four years ago. I'll share some few lessons I learnt from the book. • People aren't innately wrong-minded. Most times, general mental attitude is as a result of one's environment and what one opens up the mind to learn and believe. To learn, unlearn and relearn is a great path to personal growth. The room was packed with "hungry folks" as the music played and men reminiscent through their yonder days. Step by step, the mind travelled back to where it all began. The events that shaped us unveiled. We reached out to the files, dusted them and gave a positive meaning to every snap shot captured. You see, nobody is really bad, people just do bad things. Ted Bundy was known to all who knew him as a charming man. He was a volunteer at a suicide hotline and a college graduate. However, he was executed for the murder of 40 women in the '80s. Poland's famous serial killer Karl Denke was an active member of his community and even was an organist in church. Hmmm!!! When I see those that knew me when I was much younger, probably those we lived in same area or schooled together, I often wonder what they think of me today. About who I have become. I am far different from the person they knew, yet I know I only just begun in my journey to change lives all around the world. When I see men and women, and the weight of abilities they carry, I am astounded. Many of whom are not taking any step whatsoever to show the world the depth of possibility locked in their very soul. Sadly so. I have grown to be able to have conversations with people and pick messages off their lives. Things lying there waiting for expression. Edgy. Eye health: Keeping healthy Eyes

We know how important our eyes are to us. The eyes are delicate and no one will definitely want anything to compromise the eyesight. Today, I will share some important points about keeping one's eyes healthy. • Regular eye check ups and tests are necessary for ensuring good eye health, and will help to detect certain eye diseases like glaucoma which could be asymptomatic. Also, one's knowledge of his/her family's eye health history is necessary to pre-guard against hereditary eye diseases • Staring at screens (TV screen, computer screen, video games) could be unhealthy for one's eyes. It's advisable that one doesn't stare for too long. A rule called the 20/20/20 rule suggests that one should look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds every 20 minutes to reduce eye strain.
