The Foundation is Important, Yes; so is the roofing too. Beautiful childhood memories I have, maybe the most beautiful ever told (at least that was the one I witnessed, don't know of any other). God bless our parents who wore us lovely clothes and took us to church, - to children ministry which was so much fun. Virtually everything was composed into song; Bible study, Memory verses, etcetera. There would always be rhyme and rhythm, melody and harmony. We would dance, sing on top of our voices, laugh so hard and feel all excited! I remember kingdom dance, we usually were the front liners shaking our entire being in our beautiful attires, panty hose and the rest. We would eat biscuits, celebrate birthdays, pray with tightly closed eyes, give special numbers... As we grew older, you'll be questioned about your head covering, so much jewellery spaghetti handed dresses, etcetera (lol). We would go for camp meetings... But only few really show people how to take action. So, I want to show you how I discipline myself to take action even when I don't feel like. The strategies work like calabar juju. Okay, enough of the joke. 1. Set a goal. You can't achieve anything if you don't set a goal to achieve something. So the fist strategy to taking action is setting a goal. 2. Tell everyone about your intentions. It depends on the goal anyway, you can tell just a person or tell many people. It was World Sickle Cell Day some hours ago (June 19), so I decided to do a piece on Sickle Cell Anaemia (a Sickle Cell Disease). Our Blood consists of four major distinct types of blood cells, one of which is the Red blood cells. These Red blood cells contains a protein, Haemoglobin, which is responsible for transporting Oxygen around the body. (Of course, we know we can't live without Oxygen!). This protein, Haemoglobin, in its normal form (Haemoglobin A), enables the Red blood cells have a normal shape (disc shape), but when in a mutated form (Haemoglobin S), results in Red blood cells that are sickle-shaped. The normal disc-shaped Red blood cells are flexible and can easily move through small and large blood cells and around the body to supply oxygen to various body tissues and organs, but the sickle-shaped Red blood cells can't easily do this.
