Learn to get DEAF to negativity and discouragement

Sometimes in life, deafness is the key that unlocks your sight and mobility!

A group of rabbits were once travelling through the jungle when two of them fell into a deep pit. When the other rabbits crowded around the pit and saw how deep it was, they told the two rabbits that there was no hope left for them.

However, the two rabbits decided to ignore what the others were saying and they proceeded to try and jump out of the pit.

Despite their efforts, the group of rabbits at the top of the pit were still saying that they should just give up. That they would never make it out.

Eventually, one of the rabbits took heed to what the others were saying and he gave up, falling down to his death. The other rabbit continued to jump as hard as he could. Again, the crowd of rabbits yelled at him to stop the pain and just die.

He jumped even harder and finally made it out. When he got out, the other rabbits celebrated with him, singing and dancing (wickedness of life, right?).

The rabbit then expressed his 'appreciation' to them for cheering him on and not allowing him to give up. Because he's deaf, he thought they were cheering and encouraging him the entire time they were dissuading him from trying.

This new week, know that until you're psychologically deaf to all the nay-sayers and it-can't-be-done thinkers trying to intentionally or unintentionally discourage your positive hustle towards your dream/goal, you won't make a headway.

I was discouraged by many friends from writing my first book in 2013 (albeit out of concern for my remaining crumbs of saving) on the excuse that Nigerians don't read books and rarely buy. I went deaf to all of them and pushed the 'From stress to wellness' book out against all odds. Today, the book has opened many speaking and training doors for me and received tears-dropping testimonies both locally and internationally, plus I've made some millions in naira from its sale (giggles).

2018 is almost over but it isn't over until you're over with it. That dream or goal is still possible and waiting on you. Go chase it till you prove the doubters wrong.

I and a friend discussed about this today, and he disagreed wholly, until I showed him the Word. I once used to pray like this whenever we were to go into an 'anointing service.' “We invite the Holy Spirit into this place.” “The Holy Spirit really showed up this morning!” If you have been a Christian for any amount of time, you have no doubt heard these expressions. Success Story: How I went from a CGPA of 2.29 to 4.00 within a Semester

We wanted to check our result. Each one of us, was with a paper and a pen. The lecturer in charge asked for our matriculation numbers and one after the other, he was reeling off grades, GPA and CGPA. Another cool movie to talk about. It's based on the novel by Robin Palmer. Geek Charming stars Sarah Hyland (Dylan Schoenfield), Matt Prokop (Josh Rosen), Sasha Pieterse (Amy Loubalu), among others. Josh's movie on a human subject (Dylan) was a big challenge to execute. Most of the other persons involved in the Puget sound film festival, picked a non human subject. As an aspiring film maker, one of a very young age, a documentary on a human subject was something so big and rare, and very challenging. Josh picked up the challenge, one which didn't just help him win the festival, but also helped him discover the real personality of Dylan; how her mum meant so much to her and how the loss of her mum when she was eight years old had affected her and shaped her social life.
