Appreciate those Persons that Contribute to Your Progress

Sometimes, we overlook many things that we shouldn't.
Worse is, we overlook the PEOPLE that we should not and chase shadows.
Why is this so?

Well, there may be several reasons from perspective, true awareness, empathy, disagreement, anger or plain bad behavior.

I want to look at APPRECIATING the right persons in our lives.
Recently, I have been practicing GRATITUDE purposefully. Taking time each day to celebrate those in my life. Each day, I send voice notes, texts, calls, chats to convey my love and regard.

Why do most of us not do things like this?
Why do we wait till a tragedy to pour our love?

One, we were not taught how to love, show and communicate same.

Two, we just get so use to it and we overlook the people that serve us with their heart.

This is a major problem.

Here you are, you have a spouse, better half, brother, friend, sister, parents, family member that can ride to the edge with you. You know this is true, yet you have not really shown them how much they matter to you.
OVER FAMILIARITY
Smh...

These wonderful persons sow their sweat, love, time, efforts, money into your life and instead of treating them like royalty that they are.
No, they become commoners.

Their love has become your birth rite.
You never check up on them as you should or repay the favours. Forgetting they are flesh and blood like you needing attention that they serve you.

Sometimes, you chase others, give the attention, people who don't even really care about you.

Does it not make sense to look within and appreciate your diamond?
You know those in your life that are pillars, rejected, not celebrated, cast aside, trampled upon, men and women who will stake a lot for you.

Perhaps, they staked so much already for you that you are looking for what next that excites.

No...
Be wise.
Count your teeth with your tongue.

Appreciate those that love you, trust you, those who believe in you and support you.
Don't stop at APPRECIATING them, replicate same in their life.

Does any name come to mind?
Call them up now, send a text, voice note or chat, tell them they mean a lot to you and watch your life light up!

I and a friend discussed about this today, and he disagreed wholly, until I showed him the Word. I once used to pray like this whenever we were to go into an 'anointing service.' “We invite the Holy Spirit into this place.” “The Holy Spirit really showed up this morning!” If you have been a Christian for any amount of time, you have no doubt heard these expressions. In fact, you have probably said at least one of them yourself. I know I have! Many believers today often open up church services or worship meetings with prayers like “come, Holy Spirit!” Yet I suspect these prayers may not need to be prayed. Success Story: How I went from a CGPA of 2.29 to 4.00 within a Semester

This is a Success Story shared by Olusola O'sola Fapohunda, a graduate of the Federal University of Technology, Akure. ----- In early 2010, I went with about four other guys in my department - to visit our level registration officer. We wanted to check our result. Each one of us, was with a paper and a pen. The lecturer in charge asked for our matriculation numbers and one after the other, he was reeling off grades, GPA and CGPA. He eventually got to me and I heard a digit that sounded like I've been shot. God! Me! 2.29. I've earned myself Grade E in some three unit courses and my best course was APH301, which I had a B with a score of 69. A lot of us have become used to using salt to kill earthworms when we encounter any in our houses. I've thought about this for a while now, but I recently decided to check it up and I'll share what I learnt about the science. Another cool movie to talk about. It's based on the novel by Robin Palmer. Geek Charming stars Sarah Hyland (Dylan Schoenfield), Matt Prokop (Josh Rosen), Sasha Pieterse (Amy Loubalu), among others. Josh's movie on a human subject (Dylan) was a big challenge to execute. Most of the other persons involved in the Puget sound film festival, picked a non human subject. As an aspiring film maker, one of a very young age, a documentary on a human subject was something so big and rare, and very challenging. Josh picked up the challenge, one which didn't just help him win the festival, but also helped him discover the real personality of Dylan; how her mum meant so much to her and how the loss of her mum when she was eight years old had affected her and shaped her social life. Some days ago (Tuesday, the 16th of January, to be precise), I got an idea which I shared with the members of the LPI WhatsApp Group. I was inspired to write four Positivity Quotes which I'll share here. The idea is about uploading Five Positivity Quotes as part of one's WhatsApp status, one each on each of the five working days of the week. This will be repeated every week, probably for a couple of months.
