The Gifts of God

It is true for me, that the "gifts and calling of God are without repentance". God doesn't change his mind about or withdraw the gifts he has given me, because I annoy him.

I think some of us have a very transactional perspective of sin. It isn't something that is paid for by the blood of Jesus. Instead, it is something we pay for daily when God withdraws favour from us. So, when things don't go well, God must be punishing us. This couldn't be further from the truth. This line of thinking assumes God has no mouth and so, he can only get mankind's attention through acts of wickedness. It presumes we are still in the works-oriented Old Testament.

God's major gifts to me are wisdom and intelligence. I know that I know things I never learned. All my years of sowing and sacrifice yielded wisdom, not money. It is now up to me to generate money with wisdom.

When I piss God off, he catches my attention, yes. But, he doesn't do so by taking wisdom from me. Even on the bed of sin, if anyone were to ask me an intellectual question, I could answer with one eye open, with no sweat. My brain still works when I sin. God doesn't take my gifts from me.

I wish we could understand the relationship God wants to have with mankind. A relationahip predicated on fatherhood and relationship. Whatever a good father wouldn't do, don't ascribe to God.

The year is running out. One of the things that Entrepreneur and business people face is FEAR. Everyone experienced that in one way or the other but the ability to overcome the fear is the best thing to do. Every new year, people have new year resolutions, but along the line they experience Fear, but sometimes we permit it. Success Story: How I went from a CGPA of 2.29 to 4.00 within a Semester

This is a Success Story shared by Olusola O'sola Fapohunda, a graduate of the Federal University of Technology, Akure. ----- In early 2010, I went with about four other guys in my department - to visit our level registration officer. We wanted to check our result. Each one of us, was with a paper and a pen. The lecturer in charge asked for our matriculation numbers and one after the other, he was reeling off grades, GPA and CGPA. You can either carry the pains of your past as excess baggage or convert it into a fuel of love to propel you into your greatness. The choice is yours, because the past is gone and cannot be undone. However, the meanings we ascribe to the tragedies of our past is hardwired into our subconscious and dictates most of our thought processes and decision-making in the present. The way we interpret those events can be rewired to give positive meanings to our pain. We must see those ugly experiences as part of a grand design that is intended to bring out the beauty in us.
