Some years ago, I began to have some thoughts about life. Everyday, we come across people who put up false happiness. Everyone's trying to be truly happy, and everyone surely deserves that, because there's no life without happiness. But a lot of persons are much unhappy inside than they seem to be. Sometimes the pain they feel deep inside gets to a threshold, where they can't keep on putting up false happiness, and their true feelings are more often expressed. We know how important our eyes are to us. The eyes are delicate and no one will definitely want anything to compromise the eyesight. Today, I will share some important points about keeping one's eyes healthy. • Regular eye check ups and tests are necessary for ensuring good eye health, and will help to detect certain eye diseases like glaucoma which could be asymptomatic. Also, one's knowledge of his/her family's eye health history is necessary to pre-guard against hereditary eye diseases • Staring at screens (TV screen, computer screen, video games) could be unhealthy for one's eyes. It's advisable that one doesn't stare for too long. A rule called the 20/20/20 rule suggests that one should look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds every 20 minutes to reduce eye strain. The session was on Olajumoke Adenowo. ---------- (Diligent Amaka speaking) Olajumoke Olufunmilola Adenowo (born in 1968) is an award-winning Nigerian architect, entrepreneur, and philanthropist, as well as a speaker, radio host, and author. She is the founder of the boutique architecture and interior design firm AD Consultin, based in Lagos, Nigeria. CNN described her as "Africa's Starchitect" and The Guardian (Nigeria) has described her as "the face of Architecture in Nigeria. Adenowo has several philanthropic ventures. Success Story: How I went from a CGPA of 2.29 to 4.00 within a Semester

This is a Success Story shared by Olusola O'sola Fapohunda, a graduate of the Federal University of Technology, Akure. ----- In early 2010, I went with about four other guys in my department - to visit our level registration officer. We wanted to check our result. Each one of us, was with a paper and a pen. The lecturer in charge asked for our matriculation numbers and one after the other, he was reeling off grades, GPA and CGPA. He eventually got to me and I heard a digit that sounded like I've been shot. God! Me! 2.29. I've earned myself Grade E in some three unit courses and my best course was APH301, which I had a B with a score of 69. Jeff Keller's Attitude is Everything, is another great book to read. Before I read this book, I thought it's going to be all about attitude (a person's behaviour, character as I understood it). It is all about attitude anyway, but a broader scope of it, one that I hadn't imagined and understood till I read the book. There's so much to learn, know, gain, from reading books. People who don't read books, or who hate reading are kinda dead in knowledge and such death most times reflects in their attitudes, which is a product of the vacuum in their mindsets.
