Your Soul Knows Better

Some people will come into your life looking as if they are the real deal. Their attributes will tick all the right boxes in your checklist. Your relationship will start with such an intensity that you will believe they were sent from heaven. From this high tension love, your relationship immediately descends to the lows of depression, quarreling and anger. The fluctuations are more dizzying than roller-coaster rides. Gradually, they will begin to show their true colors and you will have to decide whether to leave or stay and try to fix them. If you don't open your inner eyes, you will fall into the oldest trap of the flesh. Your flesh desires them but your soul knows better. Remember all your sufferings and let the wisdom of pain be your guide. All that glitters is not gold and there is no substitute for inner peace. If you remain humble and kind, one day someone will appear from nowhere in the most unusual of circumstances when you least expect it to return all the love you lost along the way.

Success Story: How I went from a CGPA of 2.29 to 4.00 within a Semester

This is a Success Story shared by Olusola O'sola Fapohunda, a graduate of the Federal University of Technology, Akure. ----- In early 2010, I went with about four other guys in my department - to visit our level registration officer. We wanted to check our result. Each one of us, was with a paper and a pen. The lecturer in charge asked for our matriculation numbers and one after the other, he was reeling off grades, GPA and CGPA. He eventually got to me and I heard a digit that sounded like I've been shot. God! Me! 2.29. I've earned myself Grade E in some three unit courses and my best course was APH301, which I had a B with a score of 69. About six months later, I went to check my 300 level second semester result and I now had a CGPA of 4.00. That was the happiest day of my University education. I was rolling on the floor of the room. I and a friend discussed about this today, and he disagreed wholly, until I showed him the Word. I once used to pray like this whenever we were to go into an 'anointing service.' “We invite the Holy Spirit into this place.” “The Holy Spirit really showed up this morning!” If you have been a Christian for any amount of time, you have no doubt heard these expressions. In fact, you have probably said at least one of them yourself. I know I have! Many believers today often open up church services or worship meetings with prayers like “come, Holy Spirit!” Yet I suspect these prayers may not need to be prayed. Indeed, they may actually cause more harm than good. Allow me to explain. As a Christian, I believe that any person who puts their faith (active trust) in Jesus is given the Holy Spirit. About two months ago, a lady walked into the office and demanded for my time. We sat and exchanged pleasantries. I can’t forget it easily, her voice texture happened to be one of the finest I've had conversations with that time, well filtered.
