To learn, unlearn and relearn is a great path to personal growth. The room was packed with "hungry folks" as the music played and men reminiscent through their yonder days. Step by step, the mind travelled back to where it all began. The events that shaped us unveiled. We reached out to the files, dusted them and gave a positive meaning to every snap shot captured. You see, nobody is really bad, people just do bad things. Ted Bundy was known to all who knew him as a charming man. He was a volunteer at a suicide hotline and a college graduate. But if I can convince you that I have an anointing that you need, well, that pretty much makes you dependent upon me, doesn’t it? The year is running out. One of the things that Entrepreneur and business people face is FEAR. Everyone experienced that in one way or the other but the ability to overcome the fear is the best thing to do. Every new year, people have new year resolutions, but along the line they experience Fear, but sometimes we permit it. The greatest of all mistakes is to do nothing because of fear of failure or you think your effort will be insignificant. Just do that thing you already planned to do, it is better to try and fail than to not try at all. Every single idea, decision and action that can make the world a better place counts. I was with my parents over the weekend. It was a great time with them. Our conversations especially when I am about leaving them after a visit will end with a prayer. But this time a good part of the conversation centered on marriage and so was about 86% of the prayer on getting married from the right family and settling down well....hmmm. You see, we all have this almighty question to answer now and then. In fact, life in Nigeria is ideally viewed in a particular cycle – Birth - Go to School - Graduate from University - National Youth Service - Work or Business - Marriage and Children, and then Work, Work, Business, Business - Raise Children - Work, Work, Business, Business - Death. I hope you can relate with that cycle. When you are done, your children obviously will continue with the next cycle starting from where you started. So this morning (on the day this was written), a friend and I got into a conversation and we were talking about work and how she wants her day to go. She started with "Oh! I wish my day would just go smooth, with little and stressless patients in the hospital, I don't want to make a mistake oh!" And with all the sorry wishes... Immediately! She got a hold on herself and said "No! My day will be stressless, I'll make no silly mistakes, my day will go smoothly..." You know, for a moment I tried to analyze and simulate the event and then I remembered something I read: ATTITUDE ARE MORE IMPORTANT THAN FACTS. How you think about a fact may defeat you before you ever do anything about it. We build up the feeling of security or insecurity by how we think, and by extension how we live.
