Some Laws of Prosperity

Never go to the house of God empty handed. Never visit a prophet empty handed. Pay God first. Pay your tithe before spending your money. After paying your tithe, pay yourself – that amount of money you won't touch no matter what. Do not borrow. Don't try to impress people, they don't even notice you. Live according to your means. Honour your parents by giving to them. Never owe people salaries, ensure you pay any soul that has worked for you as at when due. Avoid unnecessary spending, don't spend on anything you can live without. Please take good care of yourself, your health is important. In fact, no job or pursuit is worth exchanging for your health. Do medical check ups and keep fit. Invest in people, let your money touch lives. Sponsor the course of the kingdom. Don't give offerings carelessly, plan your offerings and make it proportionate to your worth. Never disrespect or criticize a man of God. Do not spend your money on liabilities, anything th...

Why Salt kills earthworms?

By -
Image
A lot of us have become used to using salt to kill earthworms when we encounter any in our houses. I've thought about this for a while now, but I recently decided to check it up and I'll share what I learnt about the science. Before that, I'll share some points about earthworms: - They are in the lumbricus genus, there are various species of earthworms, but the common earthworm's scientific name is lumbricus terrestris - Their digestive system runs through the length of their skin - Earthworms respire through their skin - They are hermaphrodites (each one carries both male and female sex organs) - They lack either an internal skeleton or exoskeleton , but maintain their structure with fluid-filled coelom chambers that function as a hydrostatic skeleton. Okay, let's talk about salt and earthworms: Earthworms respire and secrete mucus through their skins. Salt (sodium chloride) has the ability of absorbing moisture (desiccant). When a large quantity of salt i...

What are you going to do for Someone else's Freedom?

I am skinny and I don't like cold. My lips quiver, my speech seizes, my nose shoots out mucus with every sneeze and I think my metabolism stops too, except my kidneys. It starts to produce urine like a liquor factory. The toilet must be within few paces away. Where there's no toilet, I can't handle myself when you put me in a cool room. My feet grow numb, I may have to postpone my presence at a meeting or a discussion to use the bath or the bush. I can cope with no fan or air conditioner all year long. Just give me a damn sweater and a wooly duvet, I'll be good for all seasons! But there is another type of cold I've grown used to. It's the place my unconventional ideas push me when I ever open my mouth. It's a damn cold feeling to be ostracised by people who once used to give you a warm hallelujah when you said something they agreed with. Now, no chants of acceptance, no chorus of praise, no little short speeches telling you how wonderful you are. You ar...

Eye health: Keeping healthy Eyes (Part 2)

By -
Image
This part focuses on diet and eye health. Good eye health requires the consumption of nutrients like omega-3 fatty acids, lutein, zeaxanthin, zinc, beta-carotene, vitamins A, C and E, etcetera. Deficiency of these nutrients contributes to poor eye health Food sources that are positive for eye health include; - Green leafy vegetables like spinach, kale and others - Fruits like citruses and berries (oranges, etcetera). Also almonds, carrots, tomatoes, mangoes, pawpaw - Fatty fish such as tuna, salmon, mackerel. - Non meat protein sources like eggs, nuts, beans, etcetera - Diary products like milk and yoghurt Unhealthy foods such as processed foods, foods containing saturated fats, or foods that are high in sugar, should be limited and less consumed. Stay healthy! Stay Positive!!

Relationship Series (Introduction)

By -
Some years ago, I began to have some thoughts about life. Everyday, we come across people who put up false happiness. Everyone's trying to be truly happy, and everyone surely deserves that, because there's no life without happiness. But a lot of persons are much unhappy inside than they seem to be. Sometimes the pain they feel deep inside gets to a threshold, where they can't keep on putting up false happiness, and their true feelings are more often expressed. For a good number of persons, they redefine happiness, and their definition of happiness does not bring them true happiness, though it feels so at the beginning, but at the end, it only adds to the pain they already feel. At the same time, their search for happiness causes pains to others who are averagely happy or whose happiness is below average. Relationships are part of life. Everything about life thrives on relationship. For every society to be progressive, there must be a greater part of the society with posi...

Relationship Series (Part 1)

By -
Image
Our present society is a mixture of different persons of different family values. That's one of the major reasons why people have different understanding of an issue or situation. One from a family with high personal and moral values may not agree with the other who has his or her own values, and who feels they are justified and right. You see situations where people can't relate because of their parallel opinions and beliefs which are antagonist to each other. You see situations where people "mind their business" because they feel that the actions and activities of other persons, has no significant effect on them. One thing I've learnt about life is that everyone, has an effect, positive or negative, on the entire system. It's like a chain reaction. And the only way to ensure there's a general positive effect is by everyone who knows what's right, do what's right and help promote such positive vibes in the little way they can. I can be of help to...

You do not need to invite the Holy Spirit

By -
Image
I and a friend discussed about this today, and he disagreed wholly, until I showed him the Word. I once used to pray like this whenever we were to go into an 'anointing service.' “We invite the Holy Spirit into this place.” “The Holy Spirit really showed up this morning!” If you have been a Christian for any amount of time, you have no doubt heard these expressions. In fact, you have probably said at least one of them yourself. I know I have! Many believers today often open up church services or worship meetings with prayers like “come, Holy Spirit!” Yet I suspect these prayers may not need to be prayed. Indeed, they may actually cause more harm than good. Allow me to explain. As a Christian, I believe that any person who puts their faith (active trust) in Jesus is given the Holy Spirit. He is described in the Bible as a “seal” we have been given (2 Corinthians 1:22), and as a promised gift from God (Acts 2:38, Acts 10:45). Throughout the New Testament, ever after God...

Love has no logic, it is blind to logic

By -
Image
Love originates from the soul and can only be given, felt, received and appreciated by the soul. Love is our essence, love is wisdom, and love is a spiritual concept. If God is love and God is a spirit, then love must be a spirit and loving must thus be a spiritual activity at its core. We find it impossible to love because we live from the mind. The mind functions on logic and reason but love has no reason or logic to it, that's why true love is inexpiable and most times seems like foolishness to people of the world. The mind is continually seeking for a reason to love and it has criteria for qualifying and disqualifying people for love. True love is blind to such logic because you don't need a reason to love anybody; you love because it is natural to do so. When we use our mind to qualify and quantify love, we will end up in suspicion and mistrust. Unconsciousness is when our mind controls our behaviour but consciousness is when our soul observes and controls our mind. Only p...

Convert limiting words to Empowering words

"Every life's battle is less about what the challenging situation calls itself; it's more about what you call the situation!" - DrOsaz America's greatest inventor (of devices like light bulb, motion picture camera, phonograph, etcetera), Thomas Edison, once came back home from school as a little kid with a paper for his mother. He told her, “My teacher told me to give this paper only to my mother.” Thomas’ mother read the note & her eyes filled with tears. Wondering why, Thomas asked his mother what the note said, and she looked at him with a smile and read aloud; “Your son is a genius. This school is too small for him and doesn’t have enough good teachers for training him. Please teach him yourself.” And that’s exactly what Thomas’ mother did; she home-schooled her child with devotion and dedication. Many years later, after Thomas Edison’s mother passed on, and he was now one of the world’s greatest inventors, he found a folded paper among other family ite...

Why Do We Fall

By -
Image
I viewed and listened to a motivational video not long ago. The video is a Hedgehog production with the title, "Why Do We Fall". I'll share the message from the video today. Let's be motivated! ••• Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows but it's a very mean and nasty place and I don't care how tough you are, it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't about how hard you hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done! --- Pain is temporary. It may last for a minute or an hour or a day or even a year, but eventually it will subside, and something else will take its place. If I quit however, it will last forever. --- The margin for error is so small, I mean, one-half a step too late or too early, and you don...
