You ate Your Seed

Growing up, I have always heard this saying, "you can't eat your cake and have it back".
Why then do people think they can crave for security and have freedom as well?
Looking back few years back I can vividly remember that faithful day, when all the job seekers in Abuja gathered at the Stadium for a ghost job – the immigration job interview. Some who are even gainfully employed but they seek Security. They seek NHIS. They seek federal mortgage. They seek Retirement and pension.

The Job never did come, lives were lost and lessons learnt.

I have found out that we all have control over our life and destiny. You are the reason for where you are today. You are the reason why you are in this same spot now. You are also the reason why you will be some where tomorrow.

Hope and Security is not a Plan. You can either choose to grow or choose to depreciate. God can't be held responsible for that. You are responsible for the person you become. You can either choose to grow or to depreciate.

Look at this scenario carefully:

A man started work in the civil service in 1983 with a salary of N500 ($700 i.e N1 = $1.4).
He retired in 2016 on a N180,000 salary (which is now $500 i.e N360 = $1).
For 33yrs he was depreciating.

What are you willing to achieve? How serious are you about achieving that?

Many can't still see that the time have changed. Our economy have changed and moves to favor people who understands the time. What you do to this fact is up to you.

The new economy now draws up a war. The war is the war against Security the so called Security – Job Security.

Think at this point. What do you really want? To struggle for 35 years or Work Smart and grow intentionally for 4 years?

Get this. Some Entrepreneurs who are still business owners might think they are out of this. If your business requires you for you to earn, you need to think. Think of how to build a SYSTEM around your business. Think of how to multiply yourself and time.

Have you ever seen a man who retires after 60+ and was able to buy a home? Send their kids to best of school? Have quality good life?

Statistics shows that 99 % of people who retire from civil service Retires Broke!!! What are you doing now to be among the 1% that is exceptional?

Go into investment. Diversify. Expand your streams of income. Leverage with people. How can you achieve this?

Get a skill. If you don't have one, learn. Improve on yourself. Find a way to solve people's problem with your skill and monetize it.

The greatest solution lies in being able to give out your present self for a better you. What are you willing to give up?

A seed will always remain a seed if not planted and nurtured.
Are you ready to turn the seed inside you to something great?
Are you ready to go through the 4 years plan and retire financially free?
Be ready to invest the seed in you, shun laziness, create time and build the life you desire.

I once used to pray like this whenever we were to go into an 'anointing service.' “We invite the Holy Spirit into this place.” “The Holy Spirit really showed up this morning!” If you have been a Christian for any amount of time, you have no doubt heard these expressions. Success Story: How I went from a CGPA of 2.29 to 4.00 within a Semester

This is a Success Story shared by Olusola O'sola Fapohunda, a graduate of the Federal University of Technology, Akure. ----- In early 2010, I went with about four other guys in my department - to visit our level registration officer. We wanted to check our result. Each one of us, was with a paper and a pen. The lecturer in charge asked for our matriculation numbers and one after the other, he was reeling off grades, GPA and CGPA. He eventually got to me and I heard a digit that sounded like I've been shot. God! Me! 2.29. Another cool movie to talk about. It's based on the novel by Robin Palmer. Geek Charming stars Sarah Hyland (Dylan Schoenfield), Matt Prokop (Josh Rosen), Sasha Pieterse (Amy Loubalu), among others. Josh's movie on a human subject (Dylan) was a big challenge to execute. Most of the other persons involved in the Puget sound film festival, picked a non human subject. As an aspiring film maker, one of a very young age, a documentary on a human subject was something so big and rare, and very challenging. Josh picked up the challenge, one which didn't just help him win the festival, but also helped him discover the real personality of Dylan; how her mum meant so much to her and how the loss of her mum when she was eight years old had affected her and shaped her social life. Some days ago (Tuesday, the 16th of January, to be precise), I got an idea which I shared with the members of the LPI WhatsApp Group.
