Rags (2012)

So I picked this movie as the first I'll write about on this label. I've watched lot of movies, deleted some, but this is one of those I find it difficult to delete. I just have to delete some others to create space for some more movies I want to watch.. This is one of the movies I'll recommend if you are looking for one to give you some motivation.

Rags is a musical film, starring a number of characters, two of which are most outstanding. Charlie Prince (Max Schneider) and Kadee Worth (Keke Palmer) both got musical talents, but of different financial backgrounds.

Charlie, who had lost his mum and was from the lower financial background, had great passion for his talent and always believed he will be someone great one day. He kept up his faith, even with his discouraging step dad and step brothers. Anyway, he got that little family (Diego and Martha) which kinda filled a gap and gave him some inspiration. He had his fears, sometimes doubted himself. Shawn (Drake Bell) also helped; he saw the great person in Charlie, and pushed him to get above his fears and doubts. At the end, He learnt that he just had to be himself. He followed his passion, and kept to his style and theme of music and he inspired Kadee through that, and at the same time, got successful.

Kadee was from the higher financial background, had a rich dad who believed in her and supported her dreams. She was quite making it in music, getting the popularity and all that. However, she wasn't really happy deep inside. She wanted to sing her own songs rather than those written by writers employed to write for her. She had her own vision, but she wanted to please her Dad. At the end, and with some inspiration from Charlie, she was able to fulfill her dreams, got to express herself and sing what she loved.

What I learnt from the movie:

• You've got to fight for your dreams, keep believing in yourself. Sometimes you'll experience the fears and uncertainty, but don't let it shake you.

• Sometimes, we are in the position to inspire someone. We can bring out the best in that person and help the person get above his fears and doubts.

• Do what you love doing. No matter how rich you are, you may not be happy deep inside you, except you do what you really like doing. We've all got what gives us happiness, that thing we're passionate about. Let's not neglect that passion, and no matter how rough everything seems, just know that someday, you'll be the next big thing.

I definitely skipped some lessons, what other lessons do you learn from the movie?

Guys, check out those songs used for the movie. They're all cool songs, especially 'Someday' by Max Schneider.
