Want to introduce this new label of the blog, the Plus Movies label. I'm sure a lot of us loves watching movies, I think it will be cool and interesting to talk about movies we watch, especially what we learnt from the movies.

Movies could be fictions but they've surely got a lot to contribute to our knowledge, and they even go a good extent in influencing people's ideas and way of life.

Success Story: How I went from a CGPA of 2.29 to 4.00 within a Semester

This is a Success Story shared by Olusola O'sola Fapohunda, a graduate of the Federal University of Technology, Akure. ----- In early 2010, I went with about four other guys in my department - to visit our level registration officer. We wanted to check our result. Each one of us, was with a paper and a pen. The lecturer in charge asked for our matriculation numbers and one after the other, he was reeling off grades, GPA and CGPA. He eventually got to me and I heard a digit that sounded like I've been shot. God! Me! 2.29. I've earned myself Grade E in some three unit courses and my best course was APH301, which I had a B with a score of 69. About six months later, I went to check my 300 level second semester result and I now had a CGPA of 4.00. That was the happiest day of my University education. I was rolling on the floor of the room. If you discover you are one of the few that operate in extraordinary wisdom, don't be too hasty to lend your voice to every trend and discussion because your suggestions and contributions will almost always stick and be accepted as a truth even when it is not because people have over times watched your consistency in display of wisdom. A lot of us have become used to using salt to kill earthworms when we encounter any in our houses. I've thought about this for a while now, but I recently decided to check it up and I'll share what I learnt about the science. When a Newspaper Reporter interviewed a farmer who grew Award-Winning Maize each year he entered his maize in the Agricultural Show, it was revealed that the farmer shared his seed with his neighbours. Perplexed, the reporter asked, “How can you afford to share your best seed with your neighbours when they are entering their maize in competition with yours each year?” The farmer smiled knowingly and explained, “The wind picks up pollen from the ripening maize and swirls it from field to field. I have come to discover from personal experience, and from observation that a lot of how people perceive or relate with us depends on the way we relate with ourselves.. I have had cause to deal with persons who gave me too many reasons not to take them seriously, and I didn't, why should I? And I have had cause to deal with people who I had no option but to take them serious, they gave me no option, these are people you just can't ignore or take lightly. I have done things that I should not ordinarily have done based on certain criteria like age, and marital status, and people were okay with it, why? Because I myself see no reason why I can't, so they see no reason why I shouldn't. People will only take you seriously if you take yourself seriously. Life does not have a remote control where you can sit where you are (your comfort zone) to change the pictures you see on its screen! If you don't like what you are seeing now about your present and future; get up from your seat/'siddon' look (from your apathy, self-pity, regrets, sadness, blaming others, excuses, etcetera), move towards the TV screen (face head on, the picture of your life that you don't like), grab the TV switch button (track the emotions and habits that are feeding that unwanted picture of your life), and change the channel (break free from the sabotaging habits/emotions)!
