Leadership is a trust conferred upon by others. To earn this trust, you must be true to yourself.

Leadership development is a lifetime journey, not a brief trip. Leadership emerges in response to situations that require the very best you have to offer.

Brain Tracy said, "The ability to make decisions and act boldly in face of setbacks and adversity is the key to greatness in leadership".

John Hagai said, "Leadership is the discipline of deliberately exerting special influence within a group to move it toward goals of beneficial permanence that fulfill the groups real needs".

Leadership isn't about titles, positions, or flowcharts. It's about one life influencing another.

The face you give when you launch a new product and instead of people to buy they say "Congratulations, I am proud of you". Am I the only that has experienced this? When I first launched my first book, At the River Bank, I had a lot of people that told me Congratulations, the moral support was something else but that Moral support demoralized me and I gave into depression. Do you know why? Only one person purchased my book on the day I launched it. The person that even purchased the book was my friend, Promise Excel. Over 300 congratulations and only one person purchased the book. How does that sound? Have you been in this same situation? 1. You don't need much before you start adding value. Start where you are with what you know. All I did was help people craft one simple sentence but the impact will last a lifetime. You can also add value with the little you know. 2. Activity is not necessarily productivity. I did not have to leave my home to organize a class in a posh place and ask people to meet with me there. There is a phenomenon in Psychology known as FALSE CONSENSUS EFFECT. This effect refers to the tendency to overestimate the extent to which others share our opinions, attributes, emotions, feelings and behaviors. Simply put, it means one thinking or assuming that others feel or think same way as they do. Why am I bringing this up today, or at all? A lot of times we fall prey to this effect. We misjudge and assume certain things to our very detriment and hurt... Husband assumes the reason he wants something is the same reason his wife does; the wife assumes her husband feels the same way she does about sex or kids or family life. Credit: Nonso Kingsley Nwosu Special point of interest to me was the manner at which she smiles and greets her customers of which majority are younger than her; the kind of quality she adds to the food at an affordable price; the neatness and excellence she prepares the food with (with apron and cooking gloves); the joy and enthusiasm her workers have in working for her (she influenced them with such a positive attitudinal prowess); the distance Guys and Ladies have to trek or drive just to eat her food...
