Establish your own uniqueness, you're not like everybody else.
Understand that, just because everybody is doing it or the fact that it's trending does not validate your participation in it. You are different!
Let's take a moment and ask ourselves, "If I become like everybody, who will become like me?"
Well the answer is simple. Nobody!!!!
The truth about trying to become someone else is first of all we'll loose our own identity, our uniqueness and values. Secondly, we wouldn't even find fulfilment in our newly elected personality. But most importantly, we would loose focus of where we really are going to in the course of identity mismatch.
Learn to take your stands even though it means standing alone.
Imagine what it would look like if the eagle wants to take the attributes of the pigeon or how it would be if the lion wants to start flying. Can you imagine?
It's impossible!
It is not their identity! Every sense of respect, value or whatever standards would diminish if not lost totally.
Understand this...
YOU ARE YOUR OWN BRAND!
It's good to admire someone of reputable character, someone who is above of course. Don't settle for less and in this quest of admiration, don't loose yourself. Because you are unique!
Here are some few tips to stand out.
Know you are unique – We are what we think we are.
"Understand" your uniqueness. Don't look down at anyone at the same time don't look down at yourself.
Thinking yourself less is humility but thinking less of yourself is a result of low self esteem plus lack of self confidence mixed with fried inferiority complex and finally decorated with barbeque insecurity.
Appreciate others who are ahead but carve out your niche and be functional.
Treat everything with excellence – Have a touch of excellence in whatever you do.
Be open and assessable to those who are not standing where you are yet because everyone have the potential of becoming the best in what they do, they just need the M2 (M square) principle – Right Motivation and Right Mentoring (Guidance)
Never stop learning...
Becoming Unique is a function of awareness but staying unique is a function of right application of knowledge.
Like Remi Owadokun would say, It's too late to be nobody.
