Love Appreciates and Values All

Yesterday night (the night before the day this was written), I was having a nap, at the NIFES UNIPORT President's office, when Brother Daniel came to me and said:

“Sir, we have a new person, he is stranded. And he needs a place to lodge for the night”.

I was tired. I told him; “See to it that he finds rest”.

Then he replied me: “he is a Muslim”.

I said to him again; “that is not a problem. Just ask him basic information and tell him the etiquette of the secretariat. Also do a security check”.

This is the normal pocedure for any one who comes around, because many have come in such way and at midnight they stole something.

Then, I zoomed, off to sleep.

This morning (on the day this was written), at 4.25 AM, when we do have our normal devotion, we had a full house.

There were several persons who have not been allocated a hostel space, some also who are coming to UNIPORT for the first time and needed to find a place to rest. And some who are not bothered about hostel but about their school fees, and needed a place to hang out till they sort themselves out.
We had a refreshing devotion.

Then I noticed something. The Muslim brother has his chair outside the circle we created for devotion. He was having his beads for prayer, and also he felt we may not welcome him in.
Then I asked him to come into the circle and also stay with us. We all introduced ourselves and then I gave them the charge. And we ended the devotion.

I believe that God is not bothered about if you are a Muslim or a pagan or whatever. He is concerned more with you coming to the knowledge of his truth and love. This is where those of us who claim to have known this LIGHT have a great role to play.

We did not judge this brother or even see him as a Muslim, we first saw him as a human being, some one who deserves to be treated right. And his religion will not stop us from offering help to a fellow Nigerian and a human being.

We want this brother to always remember that in a world full of hate and prejudice that there are humans who have evolved the peripheral existence of bias.

Good morning.
