Play the Better Game, the Positive Game

• When a man has a good car, it attracts more ladies to him. When a lady has a good car, it repels guys away from her. This may seem to be the world we live in.

• A teenage boy impregnates his teenage girlfriend. The girl drops out of school, the boy continues his education. This may seem to be the world we live in.

• A guy catches his girlfriend with another guy, he fights his girlfriend. A lady catches her guy with another lady, she fights the other lady. This may seem to be the world we live in.

• The older a man becomes, the higher the number of ladies available for him. The older a lady becomes, the fewer the number of guys available for her. This may seem to be the world we live in.

• A 76 year old man can still marry a 26 year old lady. A 36 year old lady is tagged too old to get married. This may seem to be the world we live in.

• A man divorces his wife today and the next day he is dating other ladies. Six months later, he is married. While the divorced woman is labeled a divorcee and remains single six years later. This may seem to be the world we live in.

• A married man is caught in bed with another woman, his wife is asked to forgive him and move on. A married woman is caught in bed with another man, the husband asks her to leave his house. This may seem to be the world we live in.

• A man gets transferred by his company to another state, the entire family relocates with him. The woman gets transferred to another state, she goes alone or resigns from the job. This may seem to be the world we live in.

• If a man rises to be the CEO of the company, he got there by hard work and determination. If a woman rises to be the CEO of the company, even if the staffs are are only women, she is suspected to get there by sleeping with the Board members. This may seem to be the world we live in.

Stuffs like these make some ladies angry at the world and channeling the anger towards men. That is not the right card to play. Understanding the world you live in should help you play a better game.

You must observe the little emphasis I placed on "may seem". I did that to convey the message that even if you may believe that, that's the nature of the world you live in, I don't believe that, that's the nature of the world you live in. You can change and create the world you live in because I believe negativity can be converted to positivity, and only exists and functions from one's mind and beliefs. Play the Positive game and make your belief, your reality.

IPad, Android Phones Versus Bible

Yesterday (on the day this was written), I watched Pastor Chris Oyakilome live as he preached. He used his iPad to read out scriptures. Later in the day, I saw a post on Instagram, and one guy like that insulted Pastor Chris for using iPad, instead of his Bible. I laughed at the man's ignorance. I remember an Uncle of mine was invited to a Church. He went there with his iPad, and someone asked him: "Sir, where is your Bible?” He showed him his 10.1 inches Pad. “But Sir,” he said, “This is not a Bible, this is iPad, you need to carry your Bible. You're not a good preacher, if you don't preach with your Bible," one of the pastors said. Another cool movie to talk about. It's based on the novel by Robin Palmer. Geek Charming stars Sarah Hyland (Dylan Schoenfield), Matt Prokop (Josh Rosen), Sasha Pieterse (Amy Loubalu), among others. Photo Credit: Wikipedia Some things I learnt from the movie: • Challenging Yourself to something different and new, can teach you more and help bring out some uniqueness in You. Josh's movie on a human subject (Dylan) was a big challenge to execute. Most of the other persons involved in the Puget sound film festival, picked a non human subject. As an aspiring film maker, one of a very young age, a documentary on a human subject was something so big and rare, and very challenging. Josh picked up the challenge, one which didn't just help him win the festival, but also helped him discover the real personality of Dylan; how her mum meant so much to her and how the loss of her mum when she was eight years old had affected her and shaped her social life. I read this book about four years ago, and it was a big turning point for me. Much was learnt, I'll share few of them today. You should check it out. The lessons: Death begins when one stops learning, and ageing starts from one's mind, not one's body. One remains young as far as he or she keeps learning; One starts crashing once he or she stops pushing. One's ability to excel mentally is paralyzed once one stops trying and accepts that the results obtained is the best he or she can attain; One's life becomes a burden when one's life is void of progress. And when one's brain isn't working towards anything, it becomes a weight on the body. The brain is motivated when it sees something ahead, something to work towards for; One's success does not demand prayer and fasting, as much as engaging one's senses positively. WAEC result was out and all of my friends took an early trip to the cyber café to print theirs out. It was 2006. We didn't have smart phones to plug us into their website. In a few hours, friends were already calling the landline we had at home. A very brilliant friend, one I had a heavy crush on, called to say she had Bs in all the important subjects and more.
