Relationship Series (Introduction)

By -
Some years ago, I began to have some thoughts about life. Everyday, we come across people who put up false happiness. Everyone's trying to be truly happy, and everyone surely deserves that, because there's no life without happiness. But a lot of persons are much unhappy inside than they seem to be. Sometimes the pain they feel deep inside gets to a threshold, where they can't keep on putting up false happiness, and their true feelings are more often expressed. For a good number of persons, they redefine happiness, and their definition of happiness does not bring them true happiness, though it feels so at the beginning, but at the end, it only adds to the pain they already feel. At the same time, their search for happiness causes pains to others who are averagely happy or whose happiness is below average. Relationships are part of life. Everything about life thrives on relationship. For every society to be progressive, there must be a greater part of the society with posi...

How I got out of paid employment in 11 months

It is true that you achieve what you put your mind to. January 27 2017, I was seated in the office to have my final interview. I have read lots of interview questions and answers online before then like I was going to get a 10 million naira job. Staying without job for a year was the lowest point of my life. I answered every questions pragmatically and then the very big question! How long do you see yourself working with us? "I can only guaranty that I will be here in the next one year", I replied. I didn't even last a year because I have my purpose and focus in view. I knew exactly what took me there so I wasn't that employee who has the mindset of retirement. In fact, I never participated in anything long term there. Maybe you also want to have total control of your time to play a bigger game. The following steps will guide you. Find your purpose: Every decisions I took springed from my discovery of Oladipupo. Though I was jobless in 2016, I used that year t...

Deficiency of these nutrients contributes to poor eye health Food sources that are positive for eye health include; - Green leafy vegetables like spinach, kale and others - Fruits like citruses and berries (oranges, etcetera). Also almonds, carrots, tomatoes, mangoes, pawpaw - Fatty fish such as tuna, salmon, mackerel. - Non meat protein sources like eggs, nuts, beans, etcetera - Diary products like milk and yoghurt Unhealthy foods such as processed foods, foods containing saturated fats, or foods that are high in sugar, should be limited and less consumed. Success Story: How I went from a CGPA of 2.29 to 4.00 within a Semester

By -

This is a Success Story shared by Olusola O'sola Fapohunda, a graduate of the Federal University of Technology, Akure. ----- In early 2010, I went with about four other guys in my department - to visit our level registration officer. We wanted to check our result. Each one of us, was with a paper and a pen. The lecturer in charge asked for our matriculation numbers and one after the other, he was reeling off grades, GPA and CGPA. He eventually got to me and I heard a digit that sounded like I've been shot. God! Me! 2.29. I've earned myself Grade E in some three unit courses and my best course was APH301, which I had a B with a score of 69. About six months later, I went to check my 300 level second semester result and I now had a CGPA of 4.00. That was the happiest day of my University education. I was rolling on the floor of the room. The previous semester has been hell, yet the one that followed it yielded this awesome result! What did I do? What did I change? What s...

If you believe in yourself, you will live life being yourself and doing the very best to give yourself a worthwhile life. Do you know that staying poor will make you deprive yourself the taste of a quality life, so why not work and treat yourself with love. Your body deserves good clothes, good food and good shelter, honestly I have looked at life and agree that I need to be very wealthy and healthy to enjoy this and much more. Please make up your mind to love yourself, and you can't love without giving. Give yourself what it needs. The bible say love your neighbour as yourself because you deserve to love yourself. Today, some people can't just show love to themselves, there is no food, no good place to lay your body and no enough money to afford the good things of life. Please it starts from learning, earning, investing and working. The pains you don't face today, you will face tomorrow. It has been discovered that no pain, no gain. Find a job or create and start building ...

Some Laws of Prosperity

By -
Image
Never go to the house of God empty handed. Never visit a prophet empty handed. Pay God first. Pay your tithe before spending your money. After paying your tithe, pay yourself – that amount of money you won't touch no matter what. Do not borrow. Don't try to impress people, they don't even notice you. Live according to your means. Honour your parents by giving to them. Never owe people salaries, ensure you pay any soul that has worked for you as at when due. Avoid unnecessary spending, don't spend on anything you can live without. Please take good care of yourself, your health is important. In fact, no job or pursuit is worth exchanging for your health. Do medical check ups and keep fit. Invest in people, let your money touch lives. Sponsor the course of the kingdom. Don't give offerings carelessly, plan your offerings and make it proportionate to your worth. Never disrespect or criticize a man of God. Do not spend your money on liabilities, anything th...

Relationship Series (Part 1)

By -
Image
Our present society is a mixture of different persons of different family values. That's one of the major reasons why people have different understanding of an issue or situation. One from a family with high personal and moral values may not agree with the other who has his or her own values, and who feels they are justified and right. You see situations where people can't relate because of their parallel opinions and beliefs which are antagonist to each other. You see situations where people "mind their business" because they feel that the actions and activities of other persons, has no significant effect on them. One thing I've learnt about life is that everyone, has an effect, positive or negative, on the entire system. It's like a chain reaction. And the only way to ensure there's a general positive effect is by everyone who knows what's right, do what's right and help promote such positive vibes in the little way they can. I can be of help to...

Why Salt kills earthworms?

By -
Image
A lot of us have become used to using salt to kill earthworms when we encounter any in our houses. I've thought about this for a while now, but I recently decided to check it up and I'll share what I learnt about the science. Before that, I'll share some points about earthworms: - They are in the lumbricus genus, there are various species of earthworms, but the common earthworm's scientific name is lumbricus terrestris - Their digestive system runs through the length of their skin - Earthworms respire through their skin - They are hermaphrodites (each one carries both male and female sex organs) - They lack either an internal skeleton or exoskeleton , but maintain their structure with fluid-filled coelom chambers that function as a hydrostatic skeleton. Okay, let's talk about salt and earthworms: Earthworms respire and secrete mucus through their skins. Salt (sodium chloride) has the ability of absorbing moisture (desiccant). When a large quantity of salt i...

I Conquered Masturbation, You Can too!

By -

I started masturbating when I was exactly 14 years old. It was such an experience I never believed I could break off from. I grew up in a 'ghetto-like' place, which exposed me to different kinds of persons and experience. I had to run errands for my Grandmother and in the process, stumbled on neighbours watching movies with Adult content and sometimes saw some of them in the act, and because they felt that I was a small boy, the girls either didn't bother to cover themselves leaving their bodies bare as they attended to me, or continued in the act and never cared to pay attention to who it was that was around. Some of the ladies around who were not married would then touch my private part and tell me things they would have done with me if I was older. These were seeds that were being sown in my mind, and unknown to me that it would later lead me into a deep mess. The kind of friends I had both in school and home were those from the privileged class who had access to th...
