The face you give when you launch a new product and instead of people to buy they say "Congratulations, I am proud of you". Am I the only that has experienced this? When I first launched my first book, At the River Bank, I had a lot of people that told me Congratulations, the moral support was something else but that Moral support demoralized me and I gave into depression. Do you know why? Only one person purchased my book on the day I launched it. The person that even purchased the book was my friend, Promise Excel. Over 300 congratulations and only one person purchased the book. How does that sound? Have you been in this same situation? I grew up to my early teenage in Ilorin, Kwara state, Nigeria and countless times, I saw my mum poured cooking waste water containing tomato and vegetable seeds into a corner of our backyard through the kitchen window. 1. You don't need much before you start adding value. Start where you are with what you know. All I did was help people craft one simple sentence but the impact will last a lifetime. You can also add value with the little you know. 2. Activity is not necessarily productivity. I did not have to leave my home to organize a class in a posh place and ask people to meet with me there. The internet changed all that. From the comfort of my home I added value to hundreds of people who in turn will add value to others because of what they've learnt. 3. Credit: Nonso Kingsley Nwosu Special point of interest to me was the manner at which she smiles and greets her customers of which majority are younger than her; the kind of quality she adds to the food at an affordable price; the neatness and excellence she prepares the food with (with apron and cooking gloves); the joy and enthusiasm her workers have in working for her (she influenced them with such a positive attitudinal prowess); the distance Guys and Ladies have to trek or drive just to eat her food...
