Humanize your brand

One mistake many brands make when using social media is that they relate with the mindset of being a corporation or organization. People don't just follow organization, they follow people. Which means as an organization, there must be some warmth around your communication online.

Simply humanize your content. Talk about the regular things your audience are interested in. It's them first before you. Take for instance, it's the new football season. As a brand, talk a bit around it. Generate conversation and see your audience pour their attention.

Social media even though is used to generate business, the fact that it is social first should not be ignored.

To get and retain the attention of your audience, let your content entertain, inform, educate or inspire your audience. Only then will they give attention to you and engage, keeping you top of mind. So, whenever it's time to buy, your name pops up in their consciousness.
