The Power of Laziness

Laziness is the inactivity resulting from the dislike of work.

Everyone has a wish, dream, for a better life. Everyone's got talent and potential. Most people want to be so rich that they end up building castles in the air. When you are engaged or involved in the power of laziness, you tend to build castles in the air with no pillars or foundation to support them.

And the Great Book says a wise man builds his house upon a rock and a foolish man builds his house upon a sand, so in all thy getting, get understanding.

On the long run, laziness brings you no good. In fact, it robs you of a bright future.
To overcome the power of laziness is to have an understanding and a revelation of who you are because when you do so, you will automatically be free.

Truth be told, I believe in that proverbial saying "shoe have sizes". A man who doesn't recognize the relevance of his shoe size will end up with an over sized or an under sized shoe. It's not all Ladies, that one can afford. No matter one's bank account, even if you're Nigeria's richest man, Dangote. Financial capacity aside, there are some Ladies beyond your mental capacity, who reason now beyond the way you will in the next five years (no insult intended, just reality). I have met such Ladies. Then there's Spiritual capacity. We know how important our eyes are to us. The eyes are delicate and no one will definitely want anything to compromise the eyesight. Today, I will share some important points about keeping one's eyes healthy. • Regular eye check ups and tests are necessary for ensuring good eye health, and will help to detect certain eye diseases like glaucoma which could be asymptomatic. Also, one's knowledge of his/her family's eye health history is necessary to pre-guard against hereditary eye diseases • Staring at screens (TV screen, computer screen, video games) could be unhealthy for one's eyes. It's advisable that one doesn't stare for too long. A rule called the 20/20/20 rule suggests that one should look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds every 20 minutes to reduce eye strain. This is a great inspiring book. I'm sure it must be a familiar one, especially since it's written by the well known neurosurgeon and politician (He's the current United States Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, under the Trump Administration), Benjamin Solomon Carson Sr. I read this book about four years ago. I'll share some few lessons I learnt from the book. • People aren't innately wrong-minded. Most times, general mental attitude is as a result of one's environment and what one opens up the mind to learn and believe. Step by step, the mind travelled back to where it all began. The events that shaped us unveiled. We reached out to the files, dusted them and gave a positive meaning to every snap shot captured. You see, nobody is really bad, people just do bad things. Ted Bundy was known to all who knew him as a charming man. He was a volunteer at a suicide hotline and a college graduate. Sir James Dyson is a British inventor, industrial designer and the founder of Dyson company. He's presently 70 years old (born in 1947). He was involved in some inventions including the sea truck in 1970, the Ballbarrow (his first original invention) and the Wheelboat, which can travel on both land and water. James Dyson is best know for inventing the Dual Cyclone bagless vacuum cleaner, the world's first bagless vacuum cleaner. Before it's invention, the hoover vacuum was in use but this vacuum had a dust bag which get clogged with dust and this affects its performance, as it losses suction. It took over 5,000 trials and failures and about 5 years (with support from his wife's salary as an art teacher) before Dyson succeeded.
