If You can love wholly, love wholly

It's easy, too easy, to mouth off the long list of things we'd never do for a partner or while in a relationship. To drop wisecracks at the expense of those who make lifestyle changes when they get married.

Here's why;
Today's idea of relationships is a far-cry from what "being in love" is. This power tussle where each partner is striving to be the one who loves less. The one who walks away with more blood on their hands. Where everyone wants to score points for their teams.
Being in love is a completely different ball game. It's you and this person trapped in a bubble of happiness which you don't want to break out from. You'd do silly things to keep them looking at you a certain way; say corny stuff to make their eyes light up; drop certain habits because you can't stand the friction they create between you two.

A bad breakup may be the only thing capable of tainting the memory of how natural it felt to do these things and how happy they made you. I'm not talking about being strong-armed into decisions you resent and can't wait to rebel against. Not the case of hubby taking wifey's phone so she can stop Facebooking. Or girl changing her wardrobe because her insecure boyfriend says her dressing entices other men.

From a personal point of view, sacrifices serve to strengthen bonds. Not having you feel stifled or choked into submission.

Point is, if you're an individual with a heart capable of loving another wholly, never say never on the sacrifices you can make to cement your affections for them.
