Whatever is not challenging gets boring too quick but then a lot of people get drenched in this feeling knowing the flaws and then try to change the other person to be more like what they were not originally. In the name of being scared of getting hurt again, I formed a terrible defensive mechanism that only made it possible for insecurity to plague my mind more and more. Now, I have a friend who in d name of not getting hurt again developed a nice but subtly dangerous defensive mechanism of maintaining a neutral mind and not committing totally to any relationship. I was going round church today (on the day this was written), giving out Sunday School manuals to those who had not yet gotten, as we give out Sunday School manuals to the students free of charge in my parish, then a lady beckons on me, "can I have one", she says. I gave her a copy, and she hands me a crispy five hundred naira note, asking me how much it costs. I smiled and inform her that it's free of charge. she was like: "wow, thank you". Then a lady close by who observed what just happened, who wasn't interested in getting a copy initially, having heard that it's free, demanded for a copy. I handed her a copy of course and then headed back to my sit. Then later in the service, it hit me... The lady who handed me the five hundred naira note, was willing to pay for a copy. Productivity is better than Activity and Principle is better than formula. Principles will birth productivity whereas Formulas will only produce activity. For example, It is possible to sleep four hours a day and achieve significantly less than someone who sleeps eight hours a day, while claiming anybody that sleeps above four hours is lazy. We all know how it plays out, when a person is arrested and taken to the Court. Usually, they are accused of a crime but considered Innocent, until proven Guilty. In court, the case is tried. The accusers (plaintiff) try to prove beyond reasonable doubt that they are guilty of the offence(s) they have been charged with, while the  lawyer(s) (the defendant) try to defend the accused and get them cleared of the charges. That Altar in your Church built by men is not as sacred as You if you have the Holy Spirit dwelling in You! You are holier than the altar. The main altar is in me. So when I kneel at the Altar of our Church, I come with God’s presence. It is my presence as a Child of God that even makes that place a sacred place! So, when I wish to kneel at the Altar and pray, it means I just want to separate myself from the crowd for a while and pray! I love the idea of Chapels in big churches. For me, it's a quiet place where you can run from distraction and concentrate on God but it is not another special place where another kind of God’s power is made available. If the Spirit of God isn’t in You, you are wasting your time at that altar. If you don’t have a personal relationship with God, I wonder who you are talking to at that altar! The Foundation is Important, Yes; so is the roofing too. Beautiful childhood memories I have, maybe the most beautiful ever told (at least that was the one I witnessed, don't know of any other).
