This is a Success Story shared by Olusola O'sola Fapohunda, a graduate of the Federal University of Technology, Akure. ----- In early 2010, I went with about four other guys in my department - to visit our level registration officer. We wanted to check our result. Each one of us, was with a paper and a pen. The lecturer in charge asked for our matriculation numbers and one after the other, he was reeling off grades, GPA and CGPA. A lot of us have become used to using salt to kill earthworms when we encounter any in our houses. I've thought about this for a while now, but I recently decided to check it up and I'll share what I learnt about the science. Before that, I'll share some points about earthworms: - They are in the lumbricus genus, there are various species of earthworms, but the common earthworm's scientific name is lumbricus terrestris - Their digestive system runs through the length of their skin - Earthworms respire through their skin - They are hermaphrodites (each one carries both male and female sex organs) - They lack either an internal skeleton or exoskeleton , but maintain their structure with fluid-filled coelom chambers that function as a hydrostatic skeleton. It's either I design the site for him or I give him a video tutorial that teaches him how to do it. Either way, I'm making money. Do you believe in Miracles? That was the question a friend asked me years back while I was struggling with my life and schooling. Ultimately my answer was NO! Followed by a smile. Why? Because I didn't. I had the worse grade, I was very broke. I was in a highly abusive relationship (abuse by ME). Well of course, you don't expect me to go through all these and do well in school. Anyway, my biggest issue was I hate reading. To crown it all, I also didn't like my course of study. I was in my final year with truck load of carryover and I needed to graduate. Of course, I already knew I was going to bag an extra year. Let me explain what I mean by I hate reading. When I open a book, I sleep off or start crying (people who knew me then can testify).
