Be Prepared to run your race till you hit your target

People very close to me will understand this statement better: 'I know where I am going to'.

Some people are alighting along, so 50 naira is enough, others will be alighting at two bus stops ahead, 100 naira will be enough for them too, but for those that are planning to alight on a far continent, carry extra cash. It is called preparation.

Don't be intimidated when people alight at their destination, focus on yours, carry enough transport for your own journey, run your race, you will get there but in your own time, don't be distracted. 2017 may have not been your time, 2018 may not even be your time but you will definitely get to your destination provided your journey is planned and prepared for.

IPad, Android Phones Versus Bible

Yesterday (on the day this was written), I watched Pastor Chris Oyakilome live as he preached. He used his iPad to read out scriptures. Later in the day, I saw a post on Instagram, and one guy like that insulted Pastor Chris for using iPad, instead of his Bible. I laughed at the man's ignorance. I remember an Uncle of mine was invited to a Church. He went there with his iPad, and someone asked him: "Sir, where is your Bible?” He showed him his 10.1 inches Pad. “But Sir,” he said, “This is not a Bible, this is iPad, you need to carry your Bible. You're not a good preacher, if you don't preach with your Bible," one of the pastors said. Now this is my point: Before the advent of printing press, the scriptures were originally written on a scroll! The ten commandments were written on a stone! Not on a Book called “Holy Book”. I read this book about four years ago, and it was a big turning point for me. Much was learnt, I'll share few of them today. You should check it out. The lessons: Death begins when one stops learning, and ageing starts from one's mind, not one's body. One remains young as far as he or she keeps learning; One starts crashing once he or she stops pushing. One's ability to excel mentally is paralyzed once one stops trying and accepts that the results obtained is the best he or she can attain; One's life becomes a burden when one's life is void of progress. And when one's brain isn't working towards anything, it becomes a weight on the body. The brain is motivated when it sees something ahead, something to work towards for; One's success does not demand prayer and fasting, as much as engaging one's senses positively. Principle versus Formula

Productivity is better than Activity and Principle is better than formula. Principles will birth productivity whereas Formulas will only produce activity. For example, It is possible to sleep four hours a day and achieve significantly less than someone who sleeps eight hours a day, while claiming anybody that sleeps above four hours is lazy. When it comes to success, there might be principles but not formulas (I mean mindless copying). Some people just copy too much, not seeing that a lot of factors are involved. The most important thing is to learn the principles and tailor it to your unique situation. Make your work time count. I remember students back in school who claimed to be reading all night (and they were) but had little or nothing to show in their result and there were others who never went through that stress and made straight A's.
