Forgiveness is a Choice You Can make

Forgiveness is an indescribable gift. And it isn’t cheap. Do You ever think what it cost God to forgive You, because the price is so high? Is there anything You can humanly do to earn forgiveness? What does receiving God’s forgiveness require of You? How does God's forgiveness change your attitude toward people who need your forgiveness?

If you need to forgive someone, recall your own weaknesses and failing. Your own need for forgiveness may help You to forgive that person.

Forgiveness is a choice. You can choose to hold on to your hurt, but it will only leaves bitterness and anger.
Forgiving frees You as much as it frees the person who is forgiven. If there is someone you are struggling to forgive, admit to God and ask Him to help You follow His example and to do what He commands.
Allow the Holy Spirit to soften your heart. Matthew 6 vs 12-15.

Today, I'll share few of what I learnt from this inspiring book by Norman Vincent Peale. It's an amazing and inspiring book, which I feel a lot of persons have read. But if you haven't, it's worth checking out. It's amazing to know that Peale's book is still inspiring lives long after written, and after he's gone (Peale died in 1993 at the age of 95 years). • Nothing is inherently powerful. But WE are powerful, and we can give strength and power to whatever we choose to give such to. One's mind gives strength and power to circumstances, things, situations. This is a Success Story shared by Olusola O'sola Fapohunda, a graduate of the Federal University of Technology, Akure. ----- In early 2010, I went with about four other guys in my department - to visit our level registration officer. We wanted to check our result. Each one of us, was with a paper and a pen. The lecturer in charge asked for our matriculation numbers and one after the other, he was reeling off grades, GPA and CGPA. He eventually got to me and I heard a digit that sounded like I've been shot. God! Me! 2.29. A lot of us have become used to using salt to kill earthworms when we encounter any in our houses. I've thought about this for a while now, but I recently decided to check it up and I'll share what I learnt about the science. Before that, I'll share some points about earthworms: - They are in the lumbricus genus, there are various species of earthworms, but the common earthworm's scientific name is lumbricus terrestris - Their digestive system runs through the length of their skin - Earthworms respire through their skin - They are hermaphrodites (each one carries both male and female sex organs) - They lack either an internal skeleton or exoskeleton , but maintain their structure with fluid-filled coelom chambers that function as a hydrostatic skeleton.
