The Lord wants me to encourage someone here this morning...

I remember when I used to wonder if I could actually do what God has called me to do. I would look at people doing theirs and I would be like, 'Lord, I can't do what this person is doing. I can't do it the way that person is doing it. I am not like them. I don't have their kind of personality. I don't know how to express myself that way. Blah, blah, blah... '

Then the Lord said to me:
'I didn't call you to do what they do. I didn't call you to do it the way they do it. You don't need their kind of personality to do what I called you to do. You don't need their way of expressing themselves to do it. They didn't get their results because of those things that bother you. They got their results because they went at my command. And they do it the way I want them to do it. You will get yours, too; if you go by my commands. I called you to do it differently... '

I am a member of "The Let's Talk About Series" community. I'll be sharing notes from one of the sessions we had this year. The session was on Olajumoke Adenowo. ---------- (Diligent Amaka speaking) Olajumoke Olufunmilola Adenowo (born in 1968) is an award-winning Nigerian architect, entrepreneur, and philanthropist, as well as a speaker, radio host, and author. She is the founder of the boutique architecture and interior design firm AD Consultin, based in Lagos, Nigeria. CNN described her as "Africa's Starchitect" and The Guardian (Nigeria) has described her as "the face of Architecture in Nigeria. Adenowo has several philanthropic ventures. In 1999, she founded the Awesome Treasures Foundation (ATF), a faith-based NGO in Lagos, Nigeria. Success Story: How I went from a CGPA of 2.29 to 4.00 within a Semester

This is a Success Story shared by Olusola O'sola Fapohunda, a graduate of the Federal University of Technology, Akure. ----- In early 2010, I went with about four other guys in my department - to visit our level registration officer. We wanted to check our result. Each one of us, was with a paper and a pen. The lecturer in charge asked for our matriculation numbers and one after the other, he was reeling off grades, GPA and CGPA. He eventually got to me and I heard a digit that sounded like I've been shot. God! Me! 2.29. I've earned myself Grade E in some three unit courses and my best course was APH301, which I had a B with a score of 69. About six months later, I went to check my 300 level second semester result and I now had a CGPA of 4.00. That was the happiest day of my University education. I was rolling on the floor of the room. It happens almost everyday. And every time it happens, I just glean the lessons afresh. God has blessed us with two sons. One eats so much that it sometimes takes sleep to prevent his mouth from working and his lips from moving. The other has to be chased with food - he is rarely self-motivated when it comes to eating. Most times, after one has had like three servings, the other is still battling with one and of course, the reality of his asking for more does not happen every day. A lot of us have become used to using salt to kill earthworms when we encounter any in our houses. I've thought about this for a while now, but I recently decided to check it up and I'll share what I learnt about the science. Before that, I'll share some points about earthworms: - They are in the lumbricus genus, there are various species of earthworms, but the common earthworm's scientific name is lumbricus terrestris - Their digestive system runs through the length of their skin - Earthworms respire through their skin - They are hermaphrodites (each one carries both male and female sex organs) - They lack either an internal skeleton or exoskeleton , but maintain their structure with fluid-filled coelom chambers that function as a hydrostatic skeleton.
