The Lord wants me to encourage someone here this morning...

I remember when I used to wonder if I could actually do what God has called me to do. I would look at people doing theirs and I would be like, 'Lord, I can't do what this person is doing. I can't do it the way that person is doing it. I am not like them. I don't have their kind of personality. I don't know how to express myself that way. Blah, blah, blah... '

Then the Lord said to me:
'I didn't call you to do what they do. I didn't call you to do it the way they do it. You don't need their kind of personality to do what I called you to do. You don't need their way of expressing themselves to do it. They didn't get their results because of those things that bother you. They got their results because they went at my command. And they do it the way I want them to do it. You will get yours, too; if you go by my commands. I called you to do it differently... '

A lot of us have become used to using salt to kill earthworms when we encounter any in our houses. I've thought about this for a while now, but I recently decided to check it up and I'll share what I learnt about the science. Let me tell you a Story - a true Life Story. It was in the late 50's, the medical field then was still in its infancy. A Woman got pregnant and she gave birth to a son. Years later, she got pregnant again, and went to meet her Doctor. She said to her Doctor, "I am pregnant". Her Doctor said; "no, you are not". But she insisted that she was, that she know it and could feel it in her. The Doctor however said, "it's a growth in you, not a baby. Just go, you will be fine". The lady went back to her normal business. Forty years later, she began to feel abdominal pain. Her son rushed her to the hospital. Thank God that by then, the medical field had advanced technologically. So this morning (on the day this was written), a friend and I got into a conversation and we were talking about work and how she wants her day to go. She started with "Oh! I wish my day would just go smooth, with little and stressless patients in the hospital, I don't want to make a mistake oh!" And with all the sorry wishes... Immediately! She got a hold on herself and said "No! My day will be stressless, I'll make no silly mistakes, my day will go smoothly..." You know, for a moment I tried to analyze and simulate the event and then I remembered something I read: ATTITUDE ARE MORE IMPORTANT THAN FACTS. How you think about a fact may defeat you before you ever do anything about it. We build up the feeling of security or insecurity by how we think, and by extension how we live. When you meet Dangote today or someone who can take you to the next level, what would you ask from him? How would you play and how would you beg? The worst thing you can ask from wealthy people or those in position of authority is money, because they wouldn't give you enough if they even give you at all. That doesn't mean that they are wicked people who don't like to give or help, it is because they are wealthy not rich, so they don't have much to give you. If you are "cash happy", you are said to be rich. If you are "asset happy", you are said to be wealthy. Our present society is a mixture of different persons of different family values. That's one of the major reasons why people have different understanding of an issue or situation. One from a family with high personal and moral values may not agree with the other who has his or her own values, and who feels they are justified and right. You see situations where people can't relate because of their parallel opinions and beliefs which are antagonist to each other. You see situations where people "mind their business" because they feel that the actions and activities of other persons, has no significant effect on them.
