Loyalty to the Past

"The past is a nice place to visit but never a great place to stay".

We all are where we are today because of our past decisions and actions. Our present is a factual reflection of how great our past was. We all have past, filled with different experience. Our past is always on the increase while our future on decrease. We all dream of a greater and better future but we are still loyal to our past.

We can't create the future of our dream with the same attitude, perspective, relationships and decisions that created our today. What brought us here, wouldn't take us there. We need to let go the gory of the past. Take the lessons from it and move on.

Ask yourself, Can I create the future I want with the same set of people I created today with?
Loyalty to the past lies in our decision to continue living the way we've been living, doing things the way we've always done it, thinking the way we've always thought, reacting instead of acting and staying where we've always stayed.

The more we live, the greater our past. The more of today wasted nursing the past, the more of tomorrow with regret. The more of today's loyalty to the future, the greater the blitheness of tomorrow.

The past can't hurt you anymore, unless you let it. Let the past be the stepping stones to a greater future.

To learn, unlearn and relearn is a great path to personal growth. The room was packed with "hungry folks" as the music played and men reminiscent through their yonder days. Step by step, the mind travelled back to where it all began. The events that shaped us unveiled. We reached out to the files, dusted them and gave a positive meaning to every snap shot captured. You see, nobody is really bad, people just do bad things. Ted Bundy was known to all who knew him as a charming man. He was a volunteer at a suicide hotline and a college graduate. Behind every great idea, there will always be somebody who will be discouraging you by telling you that it won't work. They will tell you it won't be successful. They can even go to the extent of giving examples of people who have tried and failed. People will make attempt to make sure they discourage you from embarking on the journey to success but I want to tell you that nothing will be achieved by you if you are waiting for the time everybody will agree to support your dream. I and a friend discussed about this today, and he disagreed wholly, until I showed him the Word. I once used to pray like this whenever we were to go into an 'anointing service.' “We invite the Holy Spirit into this place.” “The Holy Spirit really showed up this morning!” If you have been a Christian for any amount of time, you have no doubt heard these expressions. The year is running out. One of the things that Entrepreneur and business people face is FEAR. Everyone experienced that in one way or the other but the ability to overcome the fear is the best thing to do. Every new year, people have new year resolutions, but along the line they experience Fear, but sometimes we permit it. The greatest of all mistakes is to do nothing because of fear of failure or you think your effort will be insignificant. Just do that thing you already planned to do, it is better to try and fail than to not try at all. Every single idea, decision and action that can make the world a better place counts. I wish my day would just go smooth, with little and stressless patients in the hospital, I don't want to make a mistake oh!" And with all the sorry wishes... Immediately! She got a hold on herself and said "No! My day will be stressless, I'll make no silly mistakes, my day will go smoothly..." You know, for a moment I tried to analyze and simulate the event and then I remembered something I read: ATTITUDE ARE MORE IMPORTANT THAN FACTS.
